Etrogization: Israel’s Newest Political Institution

.

Commentary;

Etrogization has become more than political strategy, it has become political institution in Israel. When in trouble; with the police, the attorney general, the state comptroller, a commission of investigation of a poorly fought, poorly managed war, and more — all breathing down your throat, it’s no time for biting the bullet, for taking your medicine, for doin’ your time. It’s no time for facing true justice.

When in heap big trouble, coddle up to those with the power to pursue or quash any investigation — the Left, who controls all bureaucracy, all media and all institutions in Israel. read more

More Evidence that Demographic “Threat” is Bogus Dud Covering True Left Agenda

.

Demographic threat? Nonsense, By David Rubin (Jerusalem Post)

“The demographic argument of those who advocate Israeli withdrawal from Judea and Samaria, whether unilateral or negotiated…, ignores both the steady high birthrates of the Jewish population in Judea and Samaria and the ongoing and increasing emigration of the Arab population from those areas. The media rarely notes that the reports of massive Arab population growth have been deliberately exaggerated…”

Latest in Peace Now’s Ongoing Attack on Chareidi Housing in Matityahu East [Kiryat Sefer]

.
Commentary;

Peace Now’s war on Chareidi property owners in the Modiin development of Matityahu East [Kiryat Sefer] moves ever closer to a show-down, or possibly the more appropriate term may be a smack-down, in the High court.

And so the question asked in earlier posts on this blog seems more and more pertinent; Will the Chareidim Leave the Beis Medrash for Their Brothers in Kiryat Sefer? And more importantly, will will lovers of the Land of Israel from non-Chareidi sectors unite as brothers to defend the Divine Right of ALL Jews to own homes and live in any part of Eretz Yisrael? Parsha Va’etchanan — Consolation After Expulsion, After the Cruelty, Disdain of Israel’s Leaders?

.

by, Moshe Burt

The Haftorah for our Parsha begins, “Nachamu, Nachamu Ami yomar Elokeichem” — “Comfort, comfort my people — says your G’d.” (Yishaiya, 40:1) This sentiment seems to be silent, but yet a theme of Parsha Va’etchanan.

In the beginning of Parsha, Moshe Rabbeinu recalls for the B’nai Yisrael how he entreated Hashem for permission to cross the Jordan River but that his request was denied. Instead, he was consoled by viewing the Land from Mount Pisgah. (L’lmod Ul’Lamed – Parsha Va’etchanan, page 161) read more

Olmert Regime: Paradigm of Unbridled Betrayal of the Governed

Commentary:

Caroline Glick characterizes the regime’s latest appeasement and surrender as a joke on Us. Anyone with a grain of intelligence and independence of though would have to agree.

By regime, this author means an entire politcal governing generation, with exceptions only counted on one hand; rotten, dishonest appeasors and corrupt to their very core.

The purest example of the latest appeasement and surrender is Olmert’s demand of Abbas that he not talk to Hamas. Anyone who really thinks that Abbas will refrain from any further contact with Hamas now that Olmert has given in to all of his demands, then I”ve got a bridge to sell you cheap!! For further proof of the emptiness of Olmert’s demand of Abbas to stay away from Hamas, click on these two eye-opening pieces from Barak of IRIS, here and here. MB read more

Expulsion’s Main Protagonist: “Identifies First (sic) as a Jew”???

Olmert Says He Identifies First as a Jew

Full text;

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told participants at a conference in Jerusalem on Tuesday that he identifies himself first as a Jew, then as an Israeli.

The prime minister told the conference, which focused on the future of the Jewish people in Jerusalem, that in his younger years he would have declared himself to be an Israeli first, then a Jew.

Related report: PM: I’m Jewish, Then Israeli

Commentary;

What a laugh!!! What a distorted, demented mind. Olmert’s remarks before a conference on the future of the Jewish people that he “identifies first as a Jew” are blatantly disingenuous and self-serving. It seems obvious to this author that Olmert defines himself, not based on Jewishness, but on corruption, greed, exploitation and EXPULSION of Jews from Jewish land! MB read more

What Israel’s MSM Doesn’t Tell Regarding Surviving Families of Lebanon Fatalities

Commentary;

To those who don’t know about Olmert’s disdain for the very soldiers who fought with the most valour during last summer’s Lebanon conflict, Horovitz’s piece may seem a very sensitive human interest story centering around Yeshiva Bnei David where the 3 religious soldiers who were fatalities in last summer’s Lebanon conflict learned and around the Yeshiva’s philosophies; “to bolster religious Zionist soldiers’ spirit, commitment and motivation to protect Israel” as well as, “awareness that senseless internal hatreds destroyed our previous efforts at Jewish sovereignty” and telling students during the expulsion from Gush Katif “not to abandon their units…. We stick together through thick and thin.” read more

Hamas Shuns Al-Qaida’s Support, They Follow Ahmadinejad

Hamas Shuns Al-Qaida’s Support (Associated Press)

This blog has posted two items concerning what seems emerging as a close relationship between Fatah and Al-Qaida such that “Egyptian intelligence chief Gen. Omar Suleiman, Masha’al said Dahlan and his allies were working with Al Qaida-aligned groups to undermine Hamas in the Gaza Strip.”

Now, from this AP report, it emerges that Hamas, the evil, vile terrorist killers that they are, apparently have at least held by a principle, at least where it relates to Al-Qaida; read more
