Saudi Plan: Israel Must Walk Away

Embrace of Jihadist ‘Peace’ By Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

Excerpts;

Sunday, the Olmert-Livni-Peretz government has announced that it is open to negotiating on the basis of the Arab plan. As one government official told The Jerusalem Post, Israel will “not dismiss” the plan.

THIS IS Israel’s position in spite of the fact that the Arab plan calls for Israel to surrender east, north and south Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and the Golan Heights to Hamas and Syria and for Israel to permit four to five million hostile, foreign-born Arabs posing as Palestinian “refugees” to immigrate to its truncated territory. As the “peace” plan makes clear, all these suicidal Israeli moves must come before the Arab states will be willing to have “regular” (whatever that means) relations with the indefensible, overrun Jewish state. read more

Our World: Israel’s Man in Mecca, by Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

“Livni said that the plan ‘is positive in my view.'”

“It is possible that Olmert and Livni are supporting the Saudis because they are obtuse. It is equally possible that they are using the Saudi plan as a diversion to shift public attention away from the fact that they led the country to defeat in the war against Iran’s Lebanese proxy last summer and that due to their continued incompetence, Israel currently faces the prospect of a new war starting at any moment. read more

Olmert and the Saudi Plan: Blueprint for Israel’s Destruction”

Our World: Olmert’s Saudi Friends, by Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

“The ‘deal’ that the Saudis are ‘brokering’ is nothing less than a blueprint for Israel’s destruction.”

“Olmert will do anything to take the Israeli public’s attention away from his failure in office. And to successfully ‘spin’ the public, he needs the support of the Israeli media.”

“Olmert’s embrace of a new imaginary ‘peace process’ will win him the support of Haaretz and the other radical leftist elements in the Israeli media. These media organs will then work to prevent the opening of police investigations into Olmert’s alleged criminal activities.” read more

Saudi F-15S Fighter-Jets Deployed 150 Km from Eilat: Credibility of US Committments and Assurances Useless

Air Show at Tabuk Reminds Israelis Not to Rely on US Assurances of Deployment limits on Weapons to Saudis, by Dr. Aaron Lerner (IMRA)

Commentary;

Remember the US sale of F-15S fighter-jets to Saudi Arabia in the late 1970s? Look at where the Saudis have deployed them; in the Saudi base of Tabuk, located just over 150 kilometers from Israel’s port city of Eilat.

The US, it seems, has NEVER once protested that the deployment violates U.S. export terms of 1978.

Yesterday, to quote from IMRA archives; read more

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Takes Office, Olmert Era Ends

.

Commentary;

Finally, at long last, we have a Prime Minister. Perhaps, not the one we wanted, but at least not a lame-duck who nearly handed the country over in a “fire sale” and who now returns to private life to face a myriad of charges of political corruption and other misbehaviors.

Will Netanyahu be the same prime minister who gave away 80% of Hevron to murderers, signed Wye and got conned out of coming home with Jonathan Pollard and later voted with and helped facilitate Sharon, Olmert and Livni’s expulsion of Jews from their homes? Will his Prime Ministership be reflective of his demotion of Moshe Feiglin and others from their democratically won primary Knesset list positions, his fawning over Ehud Barak for defense minister and his rejection of Yaakov Katz and the National Union in forming his coalition? Will he finally be able took look a US president square in the eye without sweat-beads forming above his upper lip? In short, will Bibi finally display a firm Jewish backbone? read more

Olmert called the plan “very interesting,” and said that he sees Saudi Arabia’s role in the Middle East as very positive. read more

Peres: ‘Saudi Plan Good, But Needs Negotiating’

“Olmert was happy to lie to the public and claim that Abbas had agreed to end the rocket attacks on the Western Negev, he knows full well that he won’t.”

Excerpts;

Last November 26, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert ordered the IDF to withdraw its forces from Gaza. Sounding oddly triumphant, Olmert announced that he had reached a cease-fire with the Palestinians.
