One of the most distinctive events of Independence Day is the International Bible Quiz for Jewish youth held every year in Jerusalem. As is so often the case, Barak of IRIS hits the mark again with the post ‘Israel Should No Longer Grant Automatic Citizenship to Jews.’
In speaking before a Jewish Agency Board of Governors meeting in Jerusalem, Sheetrit was not merely addressing the issue the B’nei Menashe from India. He called for a five-year waiting period for citizenship.
He explained that “Israel should become like every other country. I want to see that [the immigrant] is not a criminal, that he’s learning Hebrew; that he’s here for five years before getting citizenship.”

Commentary;
Uncle Tom is a pejorative for an African American who is perceived by others as behaving in a subservient manner to White American authority figures, or as seeking ingratiation with them by way of unnecessary accommodation. The term Uncle Tom comes from the title character of Harriet Beecher Stowe’s novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin, although there is debate over whether the character himself is deserving of the pejorative attributed to him.[1]
It is commonly used to describe black people whose political views or allegiances are considered by their critics as detrimental to blacks as a group.

The third posuk of our Parsha reads and emphasizes; “Tzedek, Tzedek tierdof…” Righteousness, righteousness (also rendered Justice, Justice) you shall pursue that you may live and inherit the land which the Lord, your G’d gives you.” (Sefer Devarim, Perek 16, posuk 20)
This posuk follows immediately after the opening of our Parsha; “Judges and officers shall you appoint in all of your cities — which Hashem …gives you — for your tribes; and they shall judge the people with righteous judgement. You shall not pervert judgement, you shall not respect persons, neither take a bribe, for a bribe binds the eyes of the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.” (Sefer Devarim, Perek 16, p’sukim 18-19)
Meir Sheetrit on School Visit Says Amona Residents are Evil

“Education and Transportation Minister Meir Sheetrit (Kadima, formerly of Likud), told students on a visit to a school in Beit El yesterday that the residents of Amona and their supporters were evil.”
“Sheetrit responded to a girl who read him a letter relating to the events at Amona. The girl asserted that ‘G-d punishes evil doers.’”
“Sheetrit interrupted the girl and exclaimed angrily, ‘To whom exactly are you referring to by the word ‘evil’?’”

Commentary;
For those not too young, timid or politically equivocal to remember the truth; the Kadima Party was conceived in evil and formed by the 2 1/2 year comatose former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon as a Super-Party shelter and safe-haven for all of main facilitators of the August 2005 expulsions of Jews from their homes, assets, communities and Shuls in Gush Katif and the 4 Shomron towns.
And who were the chiefs among these facilitators of the August, 2005 expulsion besides Sharon who shared his vision of consolidation, convergence, realignment; synonyms for using the Gush Katif model for making Yehuda and the Shomron Yudenrein and handing biblical Jewish land and heritage to the enemy?

Commentary;
Are we to conjure up, again and again, the above picture (taken during the Lebanon conflict shortly after Israel was accused of an alleged atrocity at Qana, found subsequently to have been staged) whenever Islamic civilians are found in the line of fire, deliberately placing themselves in the line of fire to shield terrorist rocket launchers or snipers or are placed in the line of fire as shields by the murderers themselves?
Some very important questions need to be asked here about the Israeli government mindset. Why announce to the Israeli MSM the intent to investigate or probe into specific IDF operations such as that noted on this blog which took place on Monday on a home in Beit Hanun during which a Palestinian mother and her four children allegedly died? Why does an investigation announcement need to be made at all?
This is a difficult post to write. Tuesday’s primary vote was accompanied by expectations that a faith-based candidate would finally win out and lead Likud, or that the vote count would reach to the mid-30s %. This author is digesting the results of the primary, with great digestive difficulty.
But, it seems apparent that the typical Likud member, emblematic of the typical Israeli, still lacks the equipment, the erudition to see beyond the brain-washing, the dumbing-down, political-orientation and is incapable of stepping outside of his current lifestyle, stepping outside of his insatiable lust for convenience and privilege to battle for change from rot, corruption and protexia. Major, radical surgery is required on Israel’s leftist bureaucratic institutions, educational systems and governance which is out of control, anti-Jewish, anti-Torah. Jews must once again care for each other and unify for the collective security and good of the nation.

Once again Caroline Glick nails the bullseye. But it’s a pity that the masses of Yosef Q. Israeli are either too lazy, too scared or too intimidated to rise and do something about it. MB
