When Makor Rishon’s photographer, Miri Tzahi, saw the photo of First Lieutenant Amihai Merhavia, who was killed in the battle of Bint Jbail, it jogged something in her journalist’s memory. She thought she had seen this face before.

Tzahi, who is about publish the album, “Katif – Nine days in Av,” featuring hundreds of photos of the “days of the expulsion,” searched through her computer archive and found a series of photos from around four years ago, showing Merhavia during the violent evacuation of Havat Gilad (Gilad Farm) in Samaria. read more

The Jewish Nation and the Ongoing Oppression Against It By Successive Israeli Regimes and Elites

.

Barak of IRIS has posted two MUST-READ contrasting blog entries which clearly indicate the heights of selflessness which the Jewish nation can reach were they not strangled and oppressed by, as Barak himself puts it; “the protexia class that oppresses her.”

The story of Cpt. Edan Morag, who selflessly set aside his own survival interest to run through a minefield to save his fellow wounded soldiers, exemplifies the highest levels of dedication and battlefield valor, ideals and values inculcated to IDF soldiers since Israel’s modern-day inception. These ideals and values, whether the leftist elitists like it or not, are rooted in Torah — pikuach nefesh for one’s fellow Jews. There are many other documented stories of heroism in battle during the Lebanon conflict such as the one posted to this blog after the Lebanon conflict about IDF Officers such as Roi Klein and Amihai Merhavia, as well as stories of heroism from all of modern-day Israel’s previous wars. read more

Expulsion of Another 100-Plus Jews Planned

It is reported that the government must present a time-table to the Supreme Count by November concerning plans for “the razing of no fewer than 18 permanent homes…. located in two Jewish towns that are part of the settlement enterprise in Judea and Samaria: Haresha, and Eli’s HaYovel neighborhood, near Shilo.” Israel National News reports on the planned expulsion of another 100-plus Jews:

The news was greeted with outrage at the time, but it was focused on the fact that one of the homes in HaYovel belongs to the family of Ro’i Klein, who was killed during the Second Lebanon War in 2006 when he jumped on a grenade thrown at a group of soldiers, thus saving their lives. His widow Sarah is raising her two small children in the marked house, alone. read more

Wanted: Military Commanders, Governmental Leaders Worthy of IDF Warriors

.

Commentary;

Olmert was apparently too busy [presumably giving away more of Eretz Yisrael or freeing more Islamic terrorists to kill more Jews] to have the decency to attend the commendations ceremony to honor the valor and heroism of the IDF soldiers who saved his and his cronies cookies from complete rout by Hezbollah. Glick’s title, “Of Men and Mice”, indeed!

What Israel’s MSM Doesn’t Tell Regarding Surviving Families of Lebanon Fatalities

Commentary;

To those who don’t know about Olmert’s disdain for the very soldiers who fought with the most valour during last summer’s Lebanon conflict, Horovitz’s piece may seem a very sensitive human interest story centering around Yeshiva Bnei David where the 3 religious soldiers who were fatalities in last summer’s Lebanon conflict learned and around the Yeshiva’s philosophies; “to bolster religious Zionist soldiers’ spirit, commitment and motivation to protect Israel” as well as, “awareness that senseless internal hatreds destroyed our previous efforts at Jewish sovereignty” and telling students during the expulsion from Gush Katif “not to abandon their units…. We stick together through thick and thin.” read more

Who Says that “Most US Jews Support Realignment”?? Don’t You Dare Muzzle the Jews for Your Own Self Agrandisement …

Commentary;

If Professor Aumann fears Israel’s becoming a Bolshevik state, what can be said for the situation of American Jews. But then again, if American Jews made Aliyah, all of these fat-cat Yudenrat below might have no constituency and lose their big fat paychecks! And imagine if all of those Jews were over here helping to turn the tide against the demagogues and turning the Olmerts, Bassis, Peres’ and Baraks out of their high offices.

Further, this author will add what has been vocalized on a number of previous occasions; namely that all Jews have suffered murder, pogroms, blood-libels, brutalizations and persecutions throughout these millennia in Chutz L’Aretz and are thus collectively, mentally the equal of any Israeli in terms of the collective resultant suffering and impact of the same on generations of our brethren. read more
