Shas, Aguda Brought Their Current Matzav Upon Themselves and Upon the Jews

.
Commentary;

It is a sad statement about principle and integrity, or lack thereof, amongst the so-called Religious party alignments of Shas and Aguda (United “Torah Judaism”) when the Pensioners Party of perfiduous Rafi Eitan threatens the regime’s governing coalition regarding pension benefits and the regime’s attempts to implement division of Jerusalem while the “religious parties” merely cast verbal stones at each other, each accusing the other of “assasination” and “annihilation” of Torah. read more

More Than Olmert, The Governing System Which Made Him Bears Full Blame for Lebanon Debacle and Must Go!

.
Commentary;

This author will agree that Ehud Olmert bears full and total responsibility for the debacle which was the Lebanon conflict. But the current normative Israeli political culture and governing system of corruption and evasion of responsibility, of which Ehud Olmert, Haim Ramon, Barak, etc. are products, must be dismantled, eradicated and replaced by a faith-based government of principle appropriate to the role of B’nai Yisrael in eyes of the world. When the corrupt little men; Olmert, Barak, Ramon, Lieberman, Beilin, Sarid, Netanyahu and more are gone from the political, governmental stage, hopefully this will mark a time when corruption, cheating, protexia and evasion of responsibility will no longer be engrained in the people’s derech. read more

The Battle for Jerusalem, and the Jewish Heart Commences

.
The Olmert, Lieberman, Barak coalition, with the complicity of silence by coalition partner Shas, has begun to set in motion it’s plan to divide Jerusalem, relinquish Israeli sovereignty from Judaism’s holiest site and thus make Medinat Yisrael totally devoid of all vestiges of Jewish character.

Manhigut Yehudit has released a statement to the media by email which is excerpted below and and shown beneath in full;

Olmert is willing and eager to make Israel spiritually bankrupt and militarily defenseless by creating another Arab tyranny in its very backyard whose sole aim will be to destroy the Jewish State. Olmert’s first objective is solely the opportunity to stay in office just a little while longer, and he thinks that by producing another false peace ala Oslo then he’ll be able to do just that. read more

‘Winograd Won’t Recommend Firing PM’, by Dan Izenberg and Gil Hoffman (Jerusalem Post)

Excerpts;

The Winograd Committee on the Second Lebanon War will not make recommendations for sanctions to be taken against anyone involved in the failures of the government during and leading up to the war, Channel 2 and the Ynet news site reported on Monday.

This means the panel will not have to issue any cautionary letters and will be able to publish its final report before the end of the year, according to Ynet. If the reports on the letters of caution are true, witnesses will not have to hire lawyers, study the evidence against them and argue their cases before the committee, a procedure that was expected to have delayed the final report by many months. read more

Parsha Noach 5768: Contrasting Noach and Avraham Avinu and Their Generations

.

By Moshe Burt

We read in our parsha that “These are the generations of No’ach: No’ach was a righteous man and perfect in his generations, and No’ach walked with G’d.” (Sefer Breish’t, Perek 6, posuk 9.) The Imrei Shefer comments on the Midrash regarding the words; “These are the generations of No’ach …” that the flood was directly attributable to No’ach’s behavior. According to the Midrash, “he [No’ach]… caused the flood by not protesting against the corrupt actions of the members of his generation.” (Torah Gems, Aharon Yaakov Greenberg, Sefer Breish’t, page 56) read more

Olmert: Joint Declaration With PA Won’t Require Knesset’s Approval, by Attila Somfalvi (Ynet)

Full Text;

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told the cabinet Sunday that any agreement reached with the Palestinians during the Knesset’s winter session would not require the plenum’s approval.

The prime minister said there was a possibility of formulating a joint declaration, rather than a declaration of principles, with the Palestinian Authority.

However, he tried to lower expectations ahead of the US-brokered peace conference in Annapolis, Maryland, saying “the declaration is not a prerequisite for holding the conference. The meeting itself is what’s important. read more
