Shas, Aguda Brought Their Current Matzav Upon Themselves and Upon the Jews

.
Commentary;

It is a sad statement about principle and integrity, or lack thereof, amongst the so-called Religious party alignments of Shas and Aguda (United “Torah Judaism”) when the Pensioners Party of perfiduous Rafi Eitan threatens the regime’s governing coalition regarding pension benefits and the regime’s attempts to implement division of Jerusalem while the “religious parties” merely cast verbal stones at each other, each accusing the other of “assasination” and “annihilation” of Torah. read more

Olmert: Duplicitous “Promises”, Shas: Knowingly Duped

From the 2000 Camp David Summit: Barak’s Jerusalem Division Map

Commentary;

This author, and many others, have received this message from Pini Itzchaky, advisor to Shas Chaver Knesset Atias, in response to the ongoing email bombardment of Shas MKs demanding that they leave the Olmert regime;

The Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert: “It has been said and agreed between me and between the head of the Palestinian Authority Abu Mazen, that Jerusalem that is an important and emotional subject. We will not start this emotional negotiation, which could bring to failure of the talks. We postponed the TIPUL of Jerusalem until the last stage.” read more

Supporting Peres: The Hypocracy of Greed of “Religious” Parties and their Leaders

The Shas party and its leader’s support for Shimon Peres’ once again exposes their hypocracy; the deep disparity between their professed Torah values Torah values (i.e. promissing “OLam Haba” in campaigning for votes) vs their political actions; the shameful corruption and hypocracy of greed visible for all to see. What’s in it for me? What’s in it for me?

And by no means is Shas alone. It is indeed a study in the concept of “Divide and Conquer” how ALL of the religious alignments, Shas, Aguda (Gimmel) and Mafdal will find religious values expedient vs the “almighty” $$ or NIS for THEIR institutions and will fall all over themselves at any Regime “promise” or “guarantee,” most which are never kept. read more

Follow-up: Mida-Kenneged-Mida: Gush Katif Expulsion and The Gaza/North War …

Last Tuesday night, Rav Chaim Zev Malinowitz gave a Yom Kippur Kattan Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av Drasha which an attendee was kind enough to summarize and send around by email. This author, in turn picked up on this blog and included it on the blog’s daily email. As a result, Israel National News saw the importance of the Rav’s points and did a news report on it on their website.

This Motsei Shabbos, the Rav requested an addendum be placed to the summary which this author deems vital as an addition, as follows; read more

Convergence In 18 Months: Not Without Shas, Gimmel in Coalition and a 10 Billion USD Price Tag, Confederation an Option??

A MUST READ! Olmert Has No Gov’t Without Shas and Agudat Yisrael!, by Hillel Fendel

Excerpts;

“Agudah [United Torah Judaism] is already practically in the government,” they say in Shas, “so why shouldn’t we go in as well?”

“Ehud Olmert can form a government without us,” they say in Agudah, “so let’s at least try to save what we can.”

Wrong! The claim that Olmert has already practically completed forming his convergence-uprooting-expulsion government, and that the hareidi-religious parties are merely an “extra”, is a lie – and if we allow it to go unchallenged, we are liable to find ourselves with tens of thousands more homeless Jews and a bunch of excuses from the religious parties. read more

Politics: Sorting Out Truth from Propaganda …

Hanegbi: Likud Must Examine its Errors

Excerpt:

“His comments in an Army Radio interview came in response to recent public opinion polls indicating a sharp decline in support for Likud following the establishment of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s new party Kadima.”

While Hanegbi is examining Likud’s “errors” which have caused the erosion of support, he might try a little self-examination as to why he repeatedly and arrogantly evaded receiving Nadia Matar’s petitions with hundreds of thousands of names against a pa terror state. He might want to self-examine his mainly arrogant general demeanor. read more

The Poor State of Israeli Politics and Electioneering …

Katsav: Politicians, Tell the Truth

Excerpts:

“In a veiled attack on Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Thursday, President Moshe Katsav complained about politicians who did not make ‘the right statements’ detailing their true objectives, and pledged that he would use the four months until election day to press voters to demand that party leaders clearly disclose their intentions.

‘Asking for clear answers on [controversial] issues must become part of the national agenda,’ Katsav said in an interview with The Jerusalem Post. This was not done in the past, he said, with the electorate subsequently accusing the prime minister of deviating from his stated platform. ‘The public didn’t ask the right questions in the past, and the political leaders didn’t make the right statements.’ read more

Government Denials and the ‘Trial Balloons’ Game

Ghettoizing Gush Etzion

Winston sums up his article from the start in this way; “When you hear absolute, unqualified guarantees by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Vice Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres or Defense Minister Sha’ul Mofaz about Jewish land not – I repeat, not – to be transferred to Arab Muslims, be assured that transferring it is exactly what they are planning. Their a priori denials are their ‘trial balloons’ to see how much opposition the denied action will provoke.” read more
