When Yitro arrived;

To paraphrase Richard Nixon, we don’t have Amir Peretz and Dan Halutz “to kick around anymore” — they’re gone from the scene.
But the question is now, after the Winograd report comes out at January’s end, will the governed unify and rise up to demand, to compel — in unison and in massive numbers — that the Prime Minister and his foreign minister — the two highest ranking government officials still in power who unquestionably bare the greatest responsibility for the Lebanon debacle of summer, 2006 accept responsibility for the harm done to Israel and resign or be dismissed? In a scathing op-ed published in the Italian daily La Stampa, Israeli novelist A. B. Yehoshua said George W. Bush should recall the US ambassador to Israel until the Jewish state dismantles all illegal outposts in the West Bank, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Sunday.

Caroline Glick, in her column excerpted below, corroborates the math presented here and adds one more factor; the possiblility of 11 Kadima rebels who could constitute “the final hammer blow” which destroys Olmert’s regime and forces new elections.
The big question is; do Israeli politicians have the overriding courage to drive new elections even though, for many, it could mean lost seats? When will the term political courage become more than a laughable oxymoron on the Israeli political scene? MB
