Totally Lacking Moral Integrity or Principle, Mofaz Backs Off Support for State Commission…

Mofaz Backtracks on War Probe, By Gil Hoffman (Jerusalem Post)

Excerpts;

Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz has changed his mind and will either abstain or vote in favor of the government commission Prime Minister Ehud Olmert formed to investigate the war in Lebanon, sources close to Mofaz said on Monday night.

Mofaz’s decision came a day after he became the first Kadima minister to call for a state commission of inquiry into the war. Olmert’s associates reacted angrily to Mofaz’s call, saying that Mofaz was more to blame than anyone else for the blunders of the war. read more

Another Hedge for Release of the Kidnapped Soldiers Given Away by Olmert Regime…

PA Parliament Members Released on Bail

Full Text;
“The IDF Military Court decided on Tuesday to release the 18 Hamas ministers, who are members of the Palestinian Authority parliament, on bail. The court granted the PA parliament members bail of 25 thousand shekels each, Israel Radio reported.”

Commentary;

By all appearances; by the ceasefire which didn’t achieve it’s aims, by the lifting of the air and sea blockade and now by releasing the Hamas ministers on bail, it seems obvious that Ehud Olmert has no intention of obtaining the freedom of the 3 kidnapped soldiers. Or if he does obtain freedom for the soldiers, it now seems obvious that it will be at a bloody cost: release of thousands of terrorists who will inevitably take more Jewish blood. Can Marwan Barghouti be far behind? MB read more

Sha’ul Mofaz: Bandwagon Jumper, Political Opportunist, Lacking the Competency and Moral Integrity Needed to Lead…

The Latest Bandwagon Jump of Sha’ul Mofaz, by Hillel Fendel (Israel National News)

For context, click here, here and here.

The call by Cabinet Minister Sha’ul Mofaz for a public state commission of inquiry into the government’s handling of the Lebanon war prompts more criticism of his political opportunism.

Transportation Minister Sha’ul Mofaz issued a statement last night (Sunday) stating that only a state commission with real “teeth” can return the nation’s trust in the government and in the Kadima Party. read more

Olmert’s Malfeasance and Abandonment Concerning the Kidnapped Soldiers…

The Coronation of Kofi, By Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

Excerpts;

This week we witnessed one of the greatest perfidies in Israel’s media history. Channel 10’s decision to broadcast both Hezbollah’s 18-year-old film of missing IAF navigator Ron Arad, who was taken hostage by Shi’ites in Lebanon in 1986, and Hezbollah’s video of its abduction of IDF soldiers Benny Avraham, Adi Avitan and Omar Suwaid in October 2000 constituted nothing less than direct collaboration between Channel 10 and Hezbollah. read more

Realignment has “Disappeared”: “Tell Me Lies, Tll Me Sweet Little Lies…”

Peres: Realignment has “Disappeared”

Excerpt;
“Vice Premier Shimon Peres said Sunday that the plan to pull out of parts of the West Bank has “disappeared” in light of fighting with the Palestinians and the Lebanese-based Hezbollah militia.”

Commentary;

But can we ever again believe anything Peres or any other politician says?

For context, click and reread numerous posts regarding Olmert and the cause he has championed; “convergence,” “consolidation,” “realignment” — the Expulsions of Jews from parts of Jewish Land, of Eretz Yisrael. read more

Israel’s Compulsion with Appeasement; Indifferent, Biased World Opinion…

The Europeanization of Israel, By Sarah Honig (Jerusalem Post)

Excerpts;

Wherever we tune in these days, we hear somber-voiced pundits expound on how Israel can’t defeat Hezbollah. Some self-professed omniscients – who keep prattling despite having never missed an opportunity to get everything thoroughly wrong – go as far as to suggest we now sacrifice the Golan to appease Hezbollah’s Syrian masters and mollify Assad Jr. a tad, just enough to tamper with his fixation on the bogeys from Teheran. read more
