More on Attempts to Stop Feiglin …

Apparently now, there is two-fold panic in Likud. One is either real or feigned fear of Sharon’s “Kadima (sic)” and the other is that of the corrupt “old boys” who are petrified that Moshe Feiglin may win the Primary, lead Likud to a Jewish Leadership victory in the March National Elections and crumble some patronage empires in the process. There are tens of thousands of Jews sitting on the fence waiting to see the results of the Likud Primary vote. A Feiglin victory in Likud will thrust him into the National Elections with a victory and the Prime Ministership a real possibility. read more

Remembering the Past and The Challenges and Limits of Libertarianism in the State of the Jews

by Moshe Burt

Annually, when we leyn Parshat Bechukotai, whether as its own Parshat or as twinned with Parshat Behar, my thoughts drift back to concerns regarding Zehut and their party platform advocating separation of religion state. These concerns were further highlighted for me with the video discussion (linked above) on Sunday, 8 May, 2018 between Moshe Feiglin and media expert Barak Moore (with whom I wrote a number of years ago on blogs: http://iris.org.il/blog/, http://www.iris.org.il/israelblog/ owned by a mutual friend). read more

Zehut Party in Israel and the First Ever Home/Office Computer/Cellular International Primary Vote

This morning, Tuesday (Yom Shlishi), 12 September, 2017 (21 Elul, 5777) is a landmark, historic date, for today the Zehut political party in Israel held the first-ever home/office computer/cellular international primary vote. Jews who are members of Zehut, both in Israel and internationally have voting privilege.

Another first: Jews from outside of Israel also have a chance to choose a representative in Zehut’s Knesset list. Zehut believes that the land of Israel belongs to all Jews, regardless of where they leave. ZEHUT International (www.zehutinternational.com) membership enables all Jews to participate. read more

Why I am Endorsing and Voting Yachad on 17 March, 2015

Dear Friends;

Most of you who know me here in Eretz Yisrael know me to be outspoken on many issues affecting Am Yisrael, Torah, our Divine right and legacy to, and sovereignty in Eretz Yisrael.

In all of my years of following modern history, events, eras in Israel, I have found no other political entity, with the possible exceptions of Moshe Feiglin and Manhigut Yehudit and our hopes when Menachem Begin led Likud to the prime ministership in 1977, so united and so expressive of a solid synthesis between Torah, Eretz Yisrael and national unity as I have seen in the coalescing of Eli Yishai and his Yachad faction with Baruch Marzel and Otzma Yehudit. read more

(Coalition) Rumor Has It

.
.

The political satire video below is simply for fun and exposure. It really delivers no agendized message, other than to Bibi who shot himself in the foot, again (like when he dumped Moshe Feiglin before the last previous national election from his 22nd spot to an unwinnable 38th spot on Likud’s list) by attacking Bennett the way he did.

Bibi Trying to Cancel Likud 16 Month Vote Waiting Period

Israel National News cites a Maariv report which states that prime minister Netanyahu “plans to cancel the clause requiring [Likud] membership of over 16 months in order to have the right to vote in internal party elections”:

Likud leader and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu fears the growing power of Moshe Feiglin’s Jewish leadership faction within the Likud; especially because he wants to pass controversial resolutions supporting a Jewish building freeze in Judea and Samaria. It says Netanyahu therefore plans to hold a lightening membership drive prior to the upcoming Likud Central Committee elections in order to offset the Feiglin support. According to the paper, Netanyahu also plans to cancel the clause requiring membership of over 16 months in order to have the right to vote in internal party elections. read more

If Bibi Only Had Nerve…

Commentary:

Manhigut Yehudit’s US Program Director, Yocheved Seidman, recently wrote a piece citing a recent lead editorial on Israel from “The Economist” magazine. Seidman views the magazine, perhaps like president Barack Hussein Obama, as presenting a perception of “the elected prime minister of Israel as an irrelevant article.”

As this author read Seidman’s entire piece, it brought to mind the Cowardly Lion from from the theatrical and movie productions of “The Wizard of Oz” who sang a song about lacking courage; “If I Only Had The Nerve.” One can only hope that Bibi gains nerve, gains courage, gains emunah in The Creator very fast or is replaced quickly by someone who has the above.
