Antiquities Authority, Police Play Politics with Islamic Digs on Har HaBayit

Commentary;
Very interesting how the recent Mughrabi Gate construction and maintenance drew the virulent ire of the Arabs, the West and the Israeli left such that the weak-willed Olmert called in the Turks to be “impartial inspectors” and then shortly after, the project was ditched.
But, the unsupervised Arab digging on the Temple Mount, taking place for years, and Arab consolidation of their hold on Judaism’s Holiest Site continues to this day amidst the silent complicity and acquiesence of successive Israeli governments. MB

Do State Comptroller’s Report, Winograd Final Spell New Elections?
Commentary;
It appears that Olmert’s end as prime minister may be coming close. Will the State Comptroller’s report oust him or will the final hammer blow come from the Winograd Committee final report? Or will Olmert either pull off a desperate “agreement” with Abbas or, maybe with
Assad which will solidify his power while seperating us from more Jewish land, causing expusion of more Jews and putting us all in dire peril? Or will Der Shlickster pull off another maneuver testifying to his total contempt for the rule of law and justice? MB
Over a Year, Southern Schools STILL Unprotected From Kassams

Commentary;
It’s been nearly 13 months since Amir Peretz pledged protection for 24 schools in a 7-Km radius of Gaza. To date, many still lack protection from Kassams.
These previous blog posts outline the slew of government excuses, indifference and deaf ear given to the plight of students living in the Negev in close proximity to Gaza. MB

Unrelenting Eviction Threats, Harrassment for Ousted Former Gush Katif Residents

Commentary;
It seems very little has changed since the weekly hotel eviction notices and daily Kassam attacks. To view previous posts regarding the plight of former Gush Katif Residents and the callous indifference of the Government of Israel, click here and here. MB

Expulsion’s Main Protagonist: “Identifies First (sic) as a Jew”???

Olmert Says He Identifies First as a Jew
Full text;
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told participants at a conference in Jerusalem on Tuesday that he identifies himself first as a Jew, then as an Israeli.
The prime minister told the conference, which focused on the future of the Jewish people in Jerusalem, that in his younger years he would have declared himself to be an Israeli first, then a Jew.
Related report: PM: I’m Jewish, Then Israeli
Commentary;
What a laugh!!! What a distorted, demented mind. Olmert’s remarks before a conference on the future of the Jewish people that he “identifies first as a Jew” are blatantly disingenuous and self-serving. It seems obvious to this author that Olmert defines himself, not based on Jewishness, but on corruption, greed, exploitation and EXPULSION of Jews from Jewish land! MB

Commentary;
It seems obvious that their is a complete lack of transparency in Israeli governance regarding collection of tax revenues and where those revenues go.
As noted in the previous post, and in a slew of earlier posts, the former Gush Katif residents have not be restituted, have not been resettled despite Olmert’s contrary assertions. Most are without work, the former farmers have no means to re-apply their farming skills as they have no land to farm and earn a living from.
