Bibi’s Tzomet Ploy Apparently Failed; Eitam Next in Attempt to Push Feiglin Down?

.

Commentary;

Readers may wonder why this blog has stuck pretty much to three topics in recent days; Bibi, Likud and Feiglin, Jonathan Pollard and the daily Gaza (and Yehuda, Shomron) war news.

The reason is basically because these three issues most closely focus in on the ongoing political/spiritual (or lack thereof) war between the forces of darkness, apathy and stagnation and the forces of light and Jewish self-pride and spirituality for the minds, hearts and souls
of masses of Israelis. read more

Feiglin, Manhigut Yehudit Confront Olmert’s and Ramon’s Plans and Schemes to Divide Jerusalem Sovereignty With Abbas

.
Commentary;

Recently Bitterlemons.org conducted an interview with Palestinian Waqf supervisor Adnan Husseini. Here is the text of the point he made;

Husseini: We want a city with two sovereignties, open to each other and with full recognition between the two sides. There will certainly be technical issues that will need practical resolution, but nothing to do with the fundamental issues of land sovereignty.

The holy places are a closed file. This is not negotiable. The Aqsa Mosque is not something that can be compromised on, nor is the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. This is a closed file. The Old City is the heart of East Jerusalem, and everything else is the natural extension of this city. read more

Bibi’s Attempts to Change Voting Rules, Add Members to Squash Feiglin Open Door for Omri-Like Scams

.

A reader wrote this in a letter to the editor in the Jerusalem Post;

The results of the Feiglin-Netanyahu contest are not an honest reflection of how all Likud members feel. You have to be a member for 14 months before you are allowed to vote, which stopped many of us from expressing who we would like to lead the Likud. The numbers could have been very different if there had been true democracy, and l feel very cheated.

It’s difficult to ascertain, from this brief blurb, which candidate the writer would support. But it is important that the reasons and background behind why there is a 16 month waiting period before voting eligibility need to be explained. This explanation is particularly necessary in light of re-elected Likud leader Netanyahu’s blatant attempt to strong-arm changes in Likud party membership and voting rules in attempt to squash Moshe Feiglin and Manhigut Yehudit. Also, the impact of any rule changes regarding Manhigut Yehudit needs to be understand. read more

Feiglin: Israeli Askenazi WASP, or S’fardi Lack of HaKaras HaTov?

.
This author takes serious issue with a mindset indicated in David Bedein’s report who’s leader poses this question; Is Feiglin a White Ashkenazi Sabra with Protexia?

Please note; this author recognizes and respects David Bedein’s moral integrity as one of perhaps two, possibly three credible journalists in ALL of Israel’s media (and a former Philadelphian, too). The issue is NOT with Bedein’s piece, but with a mindset in the S’fardi sector which gives rise to what Bedein detects. read more

Bibi Wins Big in Likud Primary, Feiglin Doubles Previous Vote Result

This is a difficult post to write. Tuesday’s primary vote was accompanied by expectations that a faith-based candidate would finally win out and lead Likud, or that the vote count would reach to the mid-30s %. This author is digesting the results of the primary, with great digestive difficulty.

But, it seems apparent that the typical Likud member, emblematic of the typical Israeli, still lacks the equipment, the erudition to see beyond the brain-washing, the dumbing-down, political-orientation and is incapable of stepping outside of his current lifestyle, stepping outside of his insatiable lust for convenience and privilege to battle for change from rot, corruption and protexia. Major, radical surgery is required on Israel’s leftist bureaucratic institutions, educational systems and governance which is out of control, anti-Jewish, anti-Torah. Jews must once again care for each other and unify for the collective security and good of the nation. read more

The Dissimilarity of Feiglin to Olmert and Barak

.
Caroline Glick, who has written so well about the imperative for political and governmental change in Israel, has a problem.

Her problem seems to be an inability to take a leap of faith, a leap towards emunah in Our Creator, the leap which she, herself, again and again and again in her previous writings deems essential, imperative to Israel’s continued security and well-being.

Time and again, Ms. Glick regales us with prose like this;

Rather than direct our attention at Olmert, Israelis must turn our attention to his enablers. Yisrael Beiteinu head and Minister of Non-Existent Strategy Avigdor Lieberman and his buddy, Shas leader and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Something or Other Eli Yishai, as well as Shas’s religious leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef should become the objects of public pressure. They must be made to understand that if they desire a political future of any kind, they must abandon Olmert and allow the nation to elect a new government. read more

A Two Man Head-On Race for Likud leadership: Bibi, Feiglin

Can it be that Netayahu fears a head-on run for leader of Likud against Moshe Feiglin?

MK Shalom Considering Quitting Likud Primaries

Excerpt;
“‘The possibility not to run was an option raised by many friends,’ said a source close to Shalom. ‘If he does not run, we are creating a situation in which Netanyahu is competing against Feiglin, and this is not such a good situation for him.‘”

Parsha Shelach 5767: Moshe’s Blessing to Yehoshua — Paradigm of a Real Jewish Leader

By Moshe Burt

Prior to the Miraglim setting out on their mission to Eretz Yisrael, Moshe Rabbeinu prayed for Hoshea, that he should gain the strength, conviction and principle to stand against the false testimony of the other spies and to eventually lead B’nei Yisrael. Moshe blessed him before the mission and changed his name to Yehoshua which conveys the above attributes.

This prayer and blessing of Moshe Rabbeinu to Yehoshua begs the definition of the qualities which make a Real Jewish Leader. read more

Feiglin: “The Greatest Danger to Israel is Egypt”

The Next “We Told You So”, by: Moshe Feiglin (Manhigut Yehudit)

Moshe Feiglin: “Please, don’t explain to the grieving families that you just had to give peace a chance. We don’t have any more children to donate to your experiments. “

If you are from the Orange Camp, if you have a kippah (skullcap) on your head, a beard or sidelocks — Heaven forbid — your warnings are meaningless. It makes no difference that you saw what was in store and you warned of the imminent danger. If you are Orange nobody listened to you before and even now, after it became clear that you were right, nobody will listen anyway… read more

Likud Rivalry Coming to a Head: New Primaries Imminent?; A Feiglin Surprise?

Likud Rivalry Coming to a Head as Shalom Plans Putsch

Excerpts;

“It’s inconceivable that the entire Likud leadership has left since Bibi came,” Shalom told Haaretz, and went on to name Dan Meridor, Yitzhak Mordechai, Roni Milo, David Magen, Avigdor Lieberman and Ariel Sharon.

“You have to ask why. His conduct is the problem; everyone left because of him.”

Comments;

Outrageous comments from Silvan Shalom worthy of infancy. Why does he lump in Yitzchak Mordechai, who resigned from politics over alleged harrassment charges? Avigdor Lieberman’s leaving Likud had nothing to do with Bibi, he left to form Yisrael Beitenu to contest with Yisrael B’Aliya. And funny, this author thought Arik Sharon is comotose after the second of two strokes and in capable of anything. Further, Sharon left Likud to form Kadima, not because of Bibi, but because of the Likud Rebels. As anyone will remember, Bibi voted for the expulsion right down the line, only opposing it in the end. read more
