NATO would not be opposed to sending troops to the West Bank after Israel withdraws from territories there, a European diplomat in Brussels was quoted as saying Sunday.
In an interview with the Saudi Al-Watan newspaper, the diplomat stressed that NATO preferred that its troops be part of an international force in the area but said it would embark on the mission alone if required.
