Is IDF Under Olmert, Barak Capable of Preempting Foreign Manipulation, Intervention in a Major Conflict?

.
Russia Confirms Soviet Sorties Over Dimona in ’67, by David Horowitz (Jerusalem Post)

Commentary;

This is a must-read piece with lessons for our times regarding preparations for and the decisive winning of a future major conflict, something which Ehud Olmert, Ehud Barak and company, with their politically-correct agenda pitting Jew vs Jew, seem incapable, incompetent and inadequate to do. MB

“Israel’s preemption, far from weakening its international legitimacy and exposing it to devastating counterattack, proved decisive in determining the conflict. Because the Soviet Union’s plan thus proved unworkable…, its role in stoking the crisis, and its plans to subsequently remake the Middle East… have remained overlooked, undervalued or simply unknown to historians assessing the war over the past 40 years.” read more

Assimilation=Human Spirit Off Track, In Chutz L’Aretz AND in Israel

.
Here are two must read articles which, when taken together, speak to our national spirit.

The phenomenon of assimilation in Chutz L’Aretz is to be like everyone else; to conform, to “melt” and thus, more often than not, it leads toward mixed-marriage.

In Israel, the tendency toward assimilation on a national level — “a nation like all other nations,” lends itself to political correctness and negation of the uniqueness of Jewish nationhood. This political correctness squashes Jewish nationalism and our ages-long unseverable link with Eretz Yisrael. It is this political assimilation which leads to perverted pre-occupation of thousands of Israel’s police and soldiers with persecuting and expelling Jews as Israeli road-carnage continues, crime continues unanswered and Arab terror attacks are rampant on the roads, in Jerusalem’s Old City, via Kassams from Gaza, etc. infinitum. Not to mention the war plans and preparations of Hamas (read PA), Hezbollah and Syria. read more

Parsha Ki Teitsei 5767: Collective Care, Kindness and Responsibility for/of Am Yehudi

.

by Moshe Burt

Parsha Ki Teitsei teaches numerous Mitzvot such as; returning lost items to their rightful owners, loaning money to one’s fellow Jew free from interest, what one is permitted to or prohibited from taking from another Jew as loan security, Shatnes (wool and linen together), Tzitzit, and dealing fairly and truthfully with one’s fellow Jews in business. The Maftir Aliyah of our Parsha tells us collectively to remember, for all time, the actions of Amalek who attacked B’nai Yisrael when they were weak while blotting the rememberance of Amalek from the earth. We remember the Amelek without, as well as the Amalek within; lo nishcach v’lo Nislach — we won’t forgive and we won’t forget. read more
