Olmert Regime: EU-led Trusteeship — Return to British Mandate Rule

Why Not an EU-led Trusteeship? Shlomo Breznitz (Jerusalem Post)

Commentary;

Today’s politicians are in denial. The elistists, in their “peace panic,” think that they have come up with an interesting, new, novel, workable concept to separate Jews from their heritage — The Land of Israel. World Net Daily’s Aaron Klein reported earlier this week about a proposal for “transferring control of Judea and Samaria to a European task force.”

Never mind that we have been there, done that once before, that an EU-led Trusteeship is nothing more than recycling the British Mandate of the 1920s through the 1940s which preceded the modern-day State of Israel as we know it. read more

Caroline Glick: “If We Want to Win, We Need to Fight.”

Making the Case Against Genocide, by Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

“Esteemed friends of Israel, such as Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz and former Canadian Justice Minister Irwin Cotler, could get no information from the Foreign Ministry, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Defense Ministry or the IDF’s Spokesman’s Unit. No one could be bothered to talk to them. No one had time to help them help Israel.”

Excerpts;

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is an evil man. But he is not a stupid man. Indeed, he is smart and fastidious. He understands power and how to get it. And he understands that the purpose of a nation’s foreign policy is to sell ideas and messages and to build coalitions that enable a state to achieve its national aims. Due to his understanding and his abilities, Ahmadinejad has achieved significant success in advancing his policy aims of defeating the United States, destroying the State of Israel, and acquiring nuclear weapons. read more

Olmert Regime, and ALL of His Cronies Must Fall, NEW Elections Must Be Held

Our World: Olmert’s Heirs Apparent, by Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

“Just as Livni, in advancing her idea of giving Judea and Samaria to Fatah and Hamas, ignores the fact that Fatah and Hamas are not interested in peace with Israel, so Lieberman in advancing his plan to subsume Israeli sovereignty into EU and NATO membership pays no attention to the nature of these groups. He ignores the fact that the central guiding principle of EU foreign policy is support for the Palestinians – including Hamas – in their bid to destroy Israel.” read more

When Will Israelis Learn Self-Reliance and Not Put Jewish Survival and Welfare in The Hands of Others?

Our World: The Longest-Running Big Lie, by Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

Commentary;

Caroline Glick’s article on Yasser Arafat’s dominant role in the March, 1973 deaths of US Embassy’s Charges d’Affaires George Curtis Moore, US ambassador Cleo Noel and Belgian Charges d’Affairs Guy Eid by Fatah’s Black September group in their raid of the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Khartoum, Sudan is a vain excercise and unfortunately, does not convince anyone that matters among the nations. And once again it shows the sheer folly of Israel’s leaders putting any reliance on man, on any so-called committment by any outside parties. read more

With An Incompetent Government and Biased, Opinionated MSM; Promote Private Initiative to Confront Jihad Head-On in the Arena of Ideas

Column One: Privatizing the War of Ideas, by Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

“The Olmert government is simply incapable of conceptualizing policies capable of defending Israel.”

“Six years after the Palestinians launched their jihad, and five years after the jihadist attacks on the US, the governments of the free world remain deeply hesitant about engaging in a true ideological struggle with jihad.”

Commentary;

By the very title of this article, “Privatizing the War of Ideas”, Caroline Glick urges us, the citizens of Israel, to act privately in every possible venue, to “force our leaders to defend us publicly and to adopt policies based on reality that see victory rather than surrender as our best option moving forward. ” read more

Olmert and the Saudi Plan: Blueprint for Israel’s Destruction”

Our World: Olmert’s Saudi Friends, by Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

“The ‘deal’ that the Saudis are ‘brokering’ is nothing less than a blueprint for Israel’s destruction.”

“Olmert will do anything to take the Israeli public’s attention away from his failure in office. And to successfully ‘spin’ the public, he needs the support of the Israeli media.”

“Olmert’s embrace of a new imaginary ‘peace process’ will win him the support of Haaretz and the other radical leftist elements in the Israeli media. These media organs will then work to prevent the opening of police investigations into Olmert’s alleged criminal activities.” read more

The Consequences of an Israel Perceiving As Owing It’s Entire Identity, Defense and Diplomacy to Superpower Electoral Politics…

Column One: Olmert’s Ill-Timed Washington Visit, by Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

“If Olmert were a strong leader, in light of the Republican defeat and Bush’s response to that defeat, he could use the meeting as an opportunity to tell Bush that Israel accepts responsibility for attacking Iran’s nuclear installations. But Olmert, who spent his last visit in the US capital trying to convince the Americans to support his plan to surrender Judea and Samaria to Hamas, is not a strong leader. He is a weak leader. The new wind blowing out of Washington will easily cast him asunder. read more

Our World: Israel’s Encirclement, by Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

Excerpts;

Unfortunately, at this critical moment in Israel’s history, we are led by Ehud Olmert, Amir Peretz and Tzipi Livni. Although Olmert claims that he is taking every step to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, through his government’s actions in recent months, he has steadily undercut the IDF’s ability to take decisive action against Iran. read more

Soros Moves on Israel: MoveOn.com and Resurrection of the Leftist “Victim’s Syndrome”

Column One: Soros Moves on to Israel, by Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

“To rebuild American political support for Israel and to enhance the US-Israel alliance, it is imperative that Israel be capable of understanding the nature of this support. This understanding begins by making distinctions between our many friends and our foes and acting on these distinctions. Not all of our friends are Jews and not all Jews are our friends.”

Excerpts;

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s speech at the American Task Force for Palestine’s inaugural dinner in Washington on Wednesday evening was but the latest sign that America’s alliance with Israel is weakening. read more

Approaching War: Israel’s Military and Governmental Leaders in Denial…

Column One: As The Storm of War Approaches, By Caroline Glick (Jerusalem Post)

Excerpts;

The clouds of the coming war are converging upon Israel. But our political and military leaders refuse to look up at the darkening sky.

The Russian bear has awakened after 15 years of hibernation. Under the leadership of former KGB commander President Vladimir Putin, Russia is reasserting its traditional hostility towards Israel.

On Tuesday, Russian military engineers landed in Beirut. Their arrival signaled the first time that Russian forces have openly deployed in the Middle East. In the past Soviet forces in Syria and Egypt operated under the official cover of “military advisers.” Today those “advisers” are “engineers.” The Russian forces, which will officially number some 550 troops, are tasked with rebuilding a number of bridges that the IDF destroyed during the recent war. They will operate outside the command of UNIFIL. read more
