Deir Yassin: The Mother of Arab Lies, Myths and Staged Pallywood, Hezbollywood Productions

The Ghosts of Deir Yassin, by Yehuda Avner (Jerusalem Post)

“What this House has just heard is an elaborate exercise in Arab myth-making. On trial here is not what happened at Deir Yassin but what has been invented about Deir Yassin.”: Dr. Gershon Levy

Excerpts;

In October 1952, I attended a debate at the Oxford Union between a Dr. Ali el-Husseimi, adviser to the Secretary General of the Arab League Abdul-Khalek Hassouna, and Dr. Gershon Levy, adviser to prime minister David Ben-Gurion. Homesh: In Retrospect

Commentary;

After last week’s re-entry into Homesh, this author, with the help of various media coverage during and after the fact, tries to set the 2 1/2 day Homesh event in perspective.

Olmert, Dershowitz and Destructive Historical Revisionism Regarding Statehood

Double Standard Watch: The Right of Return: What if the Shoe Were On the Other Foot?, by Alan Dershowitz (Jerusalem Post)

Recently, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced that, as a matter of deep principle, he would never accept a right of return by Palestinian refugees and their descendants. His argument was simple: the Palestinians, aided by the surrounding Arab countries, started a war against the new state of Israel in an effort to destroy it; had they instead accepted the partition—the two-state solution—Israel would have accepted the presence of significant numbers of Palestinians in the new Jewish state. But once the Palestinians started a genocidal war, the inevitable consequence was the creation of refugees. Even if some were in fact forced to leave by Israeli military commanders, such actions were in response to the attack by the Palestinians. read more

Israel Still Hopeful for Regional Parley, by Herb Keinon (Jerusalem Post)

Excerpts;

Olmert, at a press conference Sunday evening in Jerusalem with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, proposed “a meeting of all the heads of the Arab states, including – obviously – the Saudi king, whom I see as a very important leader, to have discussions with us.”

The idea, according to senior diplomatic officials, was for a meeting where regional leaders who “believe in dialogue” would meet and express “face to face” their ideas about how to achieve a resolution to the Arab-Israeli conflict. read more
