Do the Jews of Israel Have the Fortitude, Staying Power to Defeat Complacency; to Force Olmert Regime From Power?

Commentary;

Do the Jews, at long last, have the gumption, guts and fortitude to do what must be done; what they didn’t do before the expulsion, after the Lebanon conflict and throughout the existence of the Olmert regime? Namely, take to the streets enmass, 24/7 until Olmert and his partners in corruption; Peretz, Livni, Peres and more are removed and stripped of ALL governing power. MB

Winograd Findings on One Foot;

Arrogance, by Liat Collins (Jerusalem Post)

“THESE LEADERS were guilty of the same sin as their predecessors in 1973: … Haconceptzia – “The Concept” – a narrow security rationale that held that the Arabs had no capacity to wage war.”

“In the summer of 2006 contingency plans existed but were not implemented, and the country went to war led by Olmert, Peretz and Halutz, all trusting Halutz’s overriding belief that air power would determine the outcome, what has become known as Haconceptzia ha’avirit – facts on the burning ground be damned.” read more

Parsha Behar 5767; Shemittoh — Reinforcing the Bond Between Jew and HIS Land

by Moshe Burt

Rashi asks a critical question on the very first posuk of our Parsha;
“Hashem spoke to Moshe on Har Sinai, saying.” (Parsha Behar, Vayikra Perek 25, posuk 1) He asks why the laws of Shemittoh are singled out as having been given at Sinai. Were not all of the Mitzvot said at Sinai?” He answers that just as all of the Mitzvot; their general rules and their specifics were taught at Sinai, so too were the general rules and specifics regarding Shemittoh taught at Sinai. Rashi then reasons that the posuk comes to teach us that every utterance said to Moshe, they were all from Sinai. read more

Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch: A Part of the Problem, Not the Solution

‘Israel is Verging on Moral Collapse’ (Jerusalem Post)

Full Text;

“Israel is on the verge of moral collapse,” Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch said in a conference on education hosted by Seminar Hakibutzim, Sunday.

“We are in the midst of a cultural and political turmoil and storm clouds are brewing. We are experiencing failures, societal class struggles, poverty and a lack of public trust in all state institutions,” Beinisch said.

However, despite her harsh statements, Beinisch has also voiced optimism in saying that, after perusing the conference program, she thought that, “perhaps we can still say that…it isn’t too late.” She said that change is possible due to the fact that there are many people “who are interested in contributing and cultivating that which is most important to us – our children’s education.” read more
