Sunday War News: Ehud Barak, “Tell Us Lies, Tell Us Sweet Gaza Lies…”; Rock Attack Near Bethlehem, Arab Tries to Run Over Israelis Near Har Bracha, Border Police Nab 334 Illegals Across Israel

.

Commentary:

Ehud, keep “them” Gaza mythical lies coming. You know, the ones about restored deterrence while you, Olmert and Livni held the IDF back from scoring methodical victory and, in so doing, achieved none of the goals for which you went to war; Hamas again makes their tunnels operational, maintains substantial numbers of rockets, mortars and ammo and still holds Gilad Shalit. You and the rest of your Troika again wrested defeat from the jaws of victory. The responsibility for consequences rest squarely on the shoulders of the three of you! MB read more

Friday War News: Following IDF Withdrawal, Hamas Seizes Gaza Tunnels; Moslem Rioters Throw Rocks, Molotovs at IDF in Hevron, Rock Attack Near Bethlehem, Firebombers on Jerusalem-Hevron Road

.

Commentary;

The Q and A session Jerusalem Post held with Former National Security Adviser Maj.-Gen. (res.) Giora Eiland dispels any illusions anyone might still have regarding the reliability of Egyptian or, for that matter, any third nation forces regarding the security of Israel and her citizens. But with 2 1/2 weeks to national elections, it seems that neither Livni, Barak, nor Bibi for that matter, have come to grips with this cold reality.

As stated in this post from the IRIS blog:

The bottom line is that history shows clearly that Israel can depend on no other country, or group of countries, for her national security but must rely solely on her own military for her security. read more

Sunday War News: Operation Cast Lead Ends Inconclusively With Israeli Unilateral Ceasefire Amidst Hamas Rocket Barrages; Terrorists Nabbed in Hevron, Shechem, Arabs Attack Police with Stones, Firebombs in Jerusalem

.
Commentary;

For context, last Thursday, this blog posted a piece; Gaza Operations: For Naught for Lack of Will to Win?

And so, these comments by Moshe Feiglin beare repeating as they best express the Israeli political governing mindset;

If Israel cannot define a real goal for this war, it cannot win. All the IDF’s professionalism and the arduous training with which the new Chief of Staff has equipped the army are ineffective if Israel’s leaders cannot define the goal of the fighting. He who cannot define the goal cannot win. And if you can’t win – it is best not to start fighting. read more

Gaza Operations: For Naught for Lack of Will to Win?

.
Commentary:

The two editorials beneath say it all about the lack of will to win and lack of clearly defined objectives, goals and day-after plans by a corrupt political governance across the board which won’t let the IDF win — including Likud, Yisrael Beiteinu, etc. .

In this context, Moshe Feiglin has written and spoken repeatedly;

And if you have started fighting nevertheless, you quickly find yourself entrenched in the heart of Gaza in the worst of all positions: You can’t win; if you retreat you admit another defeat and a stalemate turns your soldiers into easy targets for kidnappers, suicide bombers and hate-filled murderers. read more
