Netanyahu: Hamastan Created Before Our Very Eyes
Full Text;
“Likud leader Binyamin Netanyahu told the Likud faction in the Knesset Thursday, ‘Before our very eyes, Hamastan has been established, the step-child of Iran and the Taliban. It’s in firing range of our airport, our highways and cities. This has to be a day of soul searching because the writing was on the wall. The policy of giving land for free gave a prize to terror and a winning card for Hamas.'”

The Hamas victory seems the culmination of an evolution arising from the utter disdain and neglect by successive Israel Governments of the security and welfare of the people it leads — the Jews!

Parsha Va’era 5766: Relating to the “Center” in Israel
By Moshe Burt
At the conclusion of Parsha Shemos, Moshe and Aaron are confronted, upon exiting Pharoh’s Palace, by the B’nai Yisrael who are in deeper despair than before because of the increased workload which resulted from Pharoh’s fury at Moshe’s first effort to secure their freedom and exit from Mitzrayim.
Our Parsha begins with the dialogue which Moshe Rebbeinu has with Hashem prior to again speaking to the B’nai Yisrael. And so, after Hashem rebukes Moshe for his complaint and reassures him that redemption is at hand, Moshe again addresses the B’nai Yisrael as to his meeting with Pharoh.
Will Olmert Still be in Rush to Meet With Abbas on Roadmap Interpretation After Hamas Victory?
This report was filed on IMRA on Wednesday, prior to the results of the “pa(sic) elections” becoming known. Will Olmert still be so anxious to discuss the “Roadmap” now? Watch out for bombs going off. Olmert’s and Kadima’s election fate will be exploding along with them. MB

Hamas Claims Victory in Elections
Hamas apparently wins at least 70 of 132 parliament seats, Qureia, Cabinet Resign.
Excerpts;
“A Likud Party statement: ‘The Hamas victory is a direct result of the Disengagement, and the realization of the Palestinians that the use of terror and violence is the way to achieve diplomatic gains from Israel. The plans of Kadima and Labor for another widespread withdrawal, for nothing in return, shows us their total blindness in viewing the security reality.'”
Point/Counterpoint on the Demographic Dud …

Excerpt; (Note link to Arnon Sofer Article from this URL)
“Once again, the demographic bluff is out of the bottle. This time, the acting prime minister, looking to cement an election slogan, dusted off the old demographic argument: ‘We will set a clear demographic border,’ ‘In order to ensure a Jewish majority we will not continue to rule in Judea and Samaria,’ and other similar statements that have been ground to death in the past.”

Olmert Reveals Kadima’s top 15
Excerpts;
“Olmert invited the nervous ministers one by one into his office and revealed to them their fate. Some left satisfied, others disappointed, but none of them indifferent. To sweeten the pill, Olmert told them that their placement on the list would not impact who would receive ministerial portfolios in a prospective Kadima-led government.”
“Kadima’s top 15 will apparently be Olmert, Shimon Peres, Tzipi Livni, Avi Dichter, Meir Sheetrit, Haim Ramon, Shaul Mofaz, Uriel Reichman, Tzahi Hanegbi, Marina Solodkin, Dalia Itzik, Gideon Ezra, Avraham Hirchson, Ze’ev Boim and Roni Bar-On.”

What’s at Stake in Hebron, by David Wilder
Excerpts;
“On January 19, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, quoted in Haaretz, ‘warned that ‘the conflict between settlers and the government is a struggle for supremacy.’ Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert ‘declared war on law-breaking settlers in the West Bank and described illegal acts by settlers as ‘the undermining of the rule of law.” What is the cause of such blatant demagoguery?”
