Parsha Beshalach: Experiencing Our Brother’s Difficulties
by, Moshe Burt

Our Parsha opens by stating; “It happened when Pharoh sent out the people that Hashem did not lead them by the way of the Philistines, because it was near, for Hashem said, ‘Perhaps the people will reconsider when they see a war, and they will return to Mitzriyim.'” (Sefer Sh’mos, Perek 13, posuk 17)

Torah Gems cites a vort from R’ Baruch Abba Rakowsky on words of the posuk; “Perhaps the people will reconsider when they see a war, and they will return to Mitzriyim. read more

For a True Handle on the Demographics Situation: AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ …

Death of the Demographic Demon

Excerpts;

Commentators spoke about the achievement of the Hamas, feature writers described the atmosphere of democratic celebration in the streets of Ramallah, but the most important headline was missed by everyone: one million, three hundred thousand. That is the number of eligible Palestinian Authority voters in Samaria, Judea, Gaza and Jerusalem. All together, including everyone – 1.3 million.

In Israel, in contrast, the number of eligible voters is more than five million. In short, we’ve been fooled. We were presented a demographic demon that never existed. ‘Between the sea and the Jordan River,’ they menaced us, ‘there is already almost an equal number of Israelis and Palestinians. Soon, they will be the majority.’ The very same week of the PA elections, several prestigious speakers even repeated that mantra at the Herzliya Conference. read more

Police Brutality in Amona: Compendium

The Hypocracy of Supreme Court Agenda …

Mr. Double Standard?, Evelyn Gordon

Excerpts;

“Anyone bewildered by last Wednesday’s violence at Amona ought to read the High Court of Justice ruling on Azmi Bishara issued that same day. Most people undoubtedly consider violence immoral. But when no less an institution than the Supreme Court proclaims that advocating violence constitutes part of a Knesset member’s legitimate duties, it is hardly surprising that a minority has become convinced that Israeli society condones and rewards it.” read more

Unity: Kibbutzniks and The Chevron Jewish Community!

Left comes to Hebron, By Judy Lash Balint

Excerpts;

“While events in Amona seem destined to accentuate the great divide between secular Israelis and the national-religious public, an astonishing event in Hebron some days ago brought together these two sectors of Israeli society generally portrayed by the media as being strongly antagonistic toward one another.”

“…Several hundred kibbutz members, secular professors and members of secular Labor Zionist youth movements took part in a first-of-its-kind solidarity conference in Hebron. But this ground-breaking confluence of secular socialists and religious settlers took place with absolutely no media coverage. While politicians and rabbis constantly talk about the need for unity, no one seems to pay any attention when it actually occurs.” read more
