This blog generally does not give coverage to the insane, maniacal mutterings of an avowed enemy who says one thing in English and another thing in Arabic, makes outrageous and bogus accusations against Israel such as that they sabotaged Gaza by first accusing Israel of contaminating the land in Gaza after the “disengagement”, then accusing Israel of starving them by keeping the crossings closed and now, most recently that the Jews are behind US Christianity, Danish Cartoons and 9/11.
Likud Rivalry Coming to a Head as Shalom Plans Putsch

“It’s inconceivable that the entire Likud leadership has left since Bibi came,” Shalom told Haaretz, and went on to name Dan Meridor, Yitzhak Mordechai, Roni Milo, David Magen, Avigdor Lieberman and Ariel Sharon.
“You have to ask why. His conduct is the problem; everyone left because of him.”
Comments;
Outrageous comments from Silvan Shalom worthy of infancy. Why does he lump in Yitzchak Mordechai, who resigned from politics over alleged harrassment charges? Avigdor Lieberman’s leaving Likud had nothing to do with Bibi, he left to form Yisrael Beitenu to contest with Yisrael B’Aliya. And funny, this author thought Arik Sharon is comotose after the second of two strokes and in capable of anything. Further, Sharon left Likud to form Kadima, not because of Bibi, but because of the Likud Rebels. As anyone will remember, Bibi voted for the expulsion right down the line, only opposing it in the end.
Evacuees’ Visit to Settlement Called Off

On Friday, eight months after they were evacuated from the West Bank settlement of Homesh, 15 families were set to visit what has left of their homes, in a visit coordinated with the IDF. Even though the visit was approved by senior Central Command officers, the army abruptly canceled the visit two hours after it was reported by Ynet.

Chaim Cohen, representing a Yesha human rights organization, on Thursday submitted three complaints to Justice Minister Police Investigations Unit officials pertaining to brutality by police during the Amona expulsion.
Three youths allege police beat them without provocation or cause, with one stating he was treated in a hospital as a result of the force used against him.
Earlier in the month, a criminal indictment was handed down against mounted policeman David Edri after evidence gathered in the investigation supported claims that he used brutal force against innocent protestors without cause.
‘Evacuating Settlements Doesn’t Contradict Halacha’

Incoming OC Chaplaincy Corps Rabbi Avichai Ronsky said in an interview this week that evacuating Jewish settlements as part of a disengagement or convergence plan is not necessarily opposed to halacha.
Although Ronsky has refused media requests for an interview, he agreed to be interviewed by a group of yeshiva students for Olam Katan, a weekly religious pamphlet distributed to synagogues nationwide.
Olam Katan asked Ronsky if it was true that “the central halachic opinion” among rabbis prohibited evacuating settlement.

This author received the following email today from a prominent reprsentative of the Gush Katif Refugees;
The minhelet [presumably SELA] has terribly insulting quotes about the GK people in Yediot. If they are accurate quotes those minhelet reps should be punished in the village square. How can they be the operational arm of the compensation law if they have such slanted views against the GK people? Example; “They are spoiled and are acting like spoiled brats on the account of the funds of the Sela commission. We can’t worry about them any more in the temporary facilities. Now it is an issue of hand bending -which ever of us breaks first….they have to move to humane facilities and get out of those inhumane hotel rooms.”
Olmert: Election Was a National Referendum

Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told senior Kadima members on Wednesday night that he agrees with those who said the election was a referendum, the voice of the people, and Kadima has been chosen.
Olmert stated that since Kadima emerged the largest party, it is a vote of support for his policies, including plans to move ahead towards an agreement with the Palestinian Authority (PA), or in the absence of cooperation, moving forward with his “concentrating inward” plan, unilaterally.
Labor official: Disengagement Will Lead to Expulsion of Government

A senior Labor party official said Wednesday that Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will be making a major mistake if he includes Yisrael Beitenu’s Avigdor Lieberman in any coalition.
Olmert is set to receive the official summons from President Moshe Katzav today to form the next government. He has said he will include Lieberman in his new coalition.
“Olmert is acting foolishly,” said the source quoted by Haaretz news service. “In order to bring Lieberman in, he is blurring the guidelines and not mentioning the convergence at all.”
