Commentary;
This Peres pronouncement is a classic in bogus indignance and naivete.’ Peres knows the Arab, the Islamic far better than any other current Israeli leader. He knows that displays of weakness and equivocation breed Islamic emboldenment which, in turn breeds bombings and other acts of terrorism.
But, never let it be said that Peres let Islamic emboldenment stand in the way of his anti-Torah agenda despite the resultant danger to the collective security of the nation and its toll in loss of Jewish lives and limbs. All the while, he cries crocodile tears and spouts seemingly indignant gems such as the one below. MB

Each Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, we daven the Unesaneh Tokef as part of the Mussaf tefillah.
The story behind the Unesaneh Tokef tefillah (expressing the seriousness of the day): relates the Gezeira Rah (evil decree) faced by R’ Amnon of Mainz and his Kehilla of forced conversion to Christianity dating back about 1,000 years.
R’ Amnon who, with his Kehilla, faced dread coercion as well as mortal, imminent threat of death, gave the perception of consideration of possible compliance with the demand to convert to Christianity and, as a result, became distraught at even having given the impression that he could betray Hashem.

This author spent this past Shabbos with other members of Shul in Hevron. In what has become an annual trip to Hevron, the city of our roots, the place where our Patriarchs; Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov are buried with their wives; Sarah, Rifka and Leah, we endeavor to put ourselves in the proper mindset in advance of the Yom HaDin — Rosh Hashana. Below are some thoughts to contemplate as the Chagim draw closer.
Before Shabbos and during Shabbos afternoon, we were taken on tours and shown various locales in and around the Jewish section of Hevron where Jewish communities have been or are being established, property having been perfectly legally purchased from previous Arab owners and yet, these purchases agreements are contested by the politically agendized and protexia regime, the leftist, elitist Israeli “justice system” and the leftist, elitist, good-old-boys protexa Israeli bureacracy.
