Teachers Burning Tires: No Arrests or Police, Shabak or Yassam Brutality

.

Commentary;

Isn’t burning tires seditious, incitement against authority? Weren’t these citings sufficient rationale to justify arrest or police, Shabak or Yassam brutality against those who protested against expulsion of their Jewish brothers from Jewish land in Gush Katif ?

Aside from this short report in the Jerusalem Post, there were no reports of either the burning tires or any resultant arrests or police, Shabak or Yassam brutality against the perpetrators. The same could be said for the various trucker and port strikes which we have witnessed in recent years. No charges of incitement or sedition were filed. read more

Parsha Vayigash 5768: Elusive Jewish Unity and The Boiled Lobster

.

By Moshe Burt

Parsha Mikeitz records the whole affair between Yosef and the brothers when they came to Mitzrayim to buy food and were accused by the Viceroy of being spies. We learned how after hearing their story and family history, Yosef demanded that they bring their youngest brother to him and incarcerated Shimon as insurance that the brothers would indeed return with Binyamin, their youngest brother. We learn that in the middle of Parsha Mikeitz, with the imprisonment of Shimon, the brothers recognized and attributed their predicament to the sin they had committed earlier by throwing Yosef into the pit and then selling him to the Mitzriyim. Yosef heard and understood their conversation and left their presence to cry silently. (Perek 42, posukim 21-24) read more

More Reports of the Annapolis Humiliation of Jews, Israel

.

Commentary;

The opinion piece below by Pamela Geller reinforces this blog’s post of last week regarding the humiliating international spectacle we just witnessed; the chillul Hashem of Annapolis which once again reduced the Jewish people, in the eyes of the nations, to the sub-human, not- worthy-to-live status not seen since the pogroms, not seen since the Nazis conveyed it upon us while exterminating 6 million of our European brethren.

And nary a loud voice raised on this level, aside from blogosphere and people such as the opinion writer, Pamela Geller. read more

The Consequences of Jews Depending on Other Nations to Defend Jews

.
Commentary;

This author looks with a lot of disdain upon a headline like The Abandonment of the Jews. The headline, by it’s very nature, evokes memories of how the allies let the Shoah continue, not lifting a finger to aid the millions of European Jews who were exterminated by the Nazi monster. The adage is appropo; goyim will be goyim — the national interests of the US supersede all morality. That Israel keeps crawling back to the goyim to protect her is yet another case of the battered wife syndrome. Israel has been double-crossed, abandoned, Bushwhacked, again, again and again over the past nearly 60 years and yet, instead of taking up Israel’s national interests and security which can truly only be taken up by Jews, they keep crawling back to the nations for more of the same — betrayal and abandonment. read more
