Back in Philadelphia, in the “old country”, R’ Moshe Ungar would speak about the Mizbeiyach in terms of both the Beit HaMikdash and in terms of the personal Mizbeiyach which burns eternally in our hearts. Dr. Aaron Lerner of IMRA makes this comment on the Jerusalem Post report below;
Given Mr. Olmert’s etrog status, anything short of catching him killing someone in a live broadcast would probably not be sufficient for an indictment as far as AG Mazuz is concerned. And even then, Mr. Olmert’s team has already noted that the law doesn’t require a prime minister to resign if he is indicted – he has to be convicted.

Commentary;
The above headline carries a gross misconception. IDF doesn’t shave, let alone retake an area vital to Israel’s security without approval, however tentative and hesitant, by political echelons [strong emphasis on political.]
Just as Olmert, Barak and their lackies waffle repeatedly regarding a “possible” Gaza invasion and energy sactions, so too, expect a lot of waffling and equivocation regarding the security of the Jewish people which necessitates retaking of the Philadelphi corridor.

Commentary;
If one does not already believe that Ehud Olmert is being etrogized due to continued talks with Abbas and growing list of concessions, as Sharon was previously regarding corruption and graft charges lodged against him and his sons, consider the failure of the police to undertake an investigation of his violations of the Jerusalem Law which prohibit transferring any part of Jerusalem to “any foreign political or governmental entity.”
We have previously witnessed the free passes Olmert has received in alleged personal corruption cases, regarding the ongoing bombardment of Israel by Gaza-based Kassams as well as the Winograd committee’s failure to sufficiently cast responsiblity upon Olmert for his Prime Ministerial mis-management of the July-Agust , 2006 Lebanon debacle.

“A barrage of 15 Kassam rockets fired at Sderot on Tuesday evening was terrorists’ response to President Shimon Peres’s visit to the city, Army Radio quoted security officials as saying. Peres was meant to visit a house in adjacency to the one hit by a rocket, the radio report added.”

Commentary;
Ehud Olmert spoke last evening before Knesset giving a speech which even Ehud Barak called “cynical and troubling.”
Olmert just squeeked by as less than a majority of 120 Knesset members as Jerusalem Post’s Sheera Claire Frenkel writes;
The Knesset narrowly approved the prime minister’s speech on the Winograd Report, by 59 to 53, with six coalition MKs – Labor’s Ophir Paz-Pines, Shelly Yacimovich, Eitan Cabel and Danny Yatom, and Kadima’s Avigdor Yitzhaki and Marina Solodkin voting with the opposition. The vote was purely symbolic.
