12 Terrorists “Escape” PA “Prison”

.
Commentary;

Once again, we watch the “revolving door” door of the PA prison system at work, as with the recent report of the escape of two killers of the Jewish hikers near Hevron who were later claimed by PA prison authorities as having been given furlough.

It will be fascinating to watch how the PA explains away this escape — 12 terrorists roaming free to murder and maim more Jews. When will Olmert, Barak, Livni and Ramon come to grasp and take responsibility for the consequences of their equivocation and “goodwill” appeasement of a merciless, murderous enemy? When will Israel again take sole responsiblity for defense of the Jewish people? MB

12 Palestinian Fighters Escape From Palestinian Authority Prison, by Dr. Aaron Lerner (IMRA)

Nablus – Ma’an – Twelve fighters fled a Palestinian Authority (PA) prison near the West Bank city of Nablus on Friday night after a clash with Palestinian security forces.

Mahdi Abu Ghazaleh, a Nablus-based commander of the Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed organization linked to Fatah, said that he and the other fighters forced their way out of the Al-Jneid prison, west of Nablus, after enduring “brutal treatment” by the guards in Section Four of the facility.

“The security forces attacked the brigades’ fighters as if we are prisoners, but we are just arrested for a little time and that violates the agreement that the detainees are not prisoners, even though we ended the three-month period in jail,” Abu Ghazaleh said.

The 12 detainees had turned themselves in to the PA, agreeing to give up violence and serve three months in prison in exchange for amnesty from Israel.

Several Palestinian officials in Nablus refused to comment on the prison break, saying only that the circumstances surrounding the event were unclear.
