Livni: Lost, Bewildered and Way Out of Her League

.

Commentary;

These pictures, taken Wednesday at the joint news conference after meetings between Foreign Minister Tzipy Livni and Secretary of State Rice, tell the story of Livni’s being lost, way over her head; a paradigm picture, better than thousands of words, of subservience, supplicance, subordination and incompetency before Condoleeza Rice as if a deity. Regime Posturing and Backing Down: It’s Beyond Embarrassing

.

Commentary;

The repeated saber-rattling of the Olmert-Livni-Barak regime has long-since passed way beyond embarrassing. Each episode of saber-rattling, of talking the talk, is inevitably followed shortly thereafter by these incompetent, self-serving political hacks backing down out of fear, intimidation by, and subserviance to the superpower. Without a belief-based rooting, these irreligious so-called “leaders” are thus disabused of “walking the walk.”

And so what results is, as with the Lebanon conflict, a hodge-podge, hit-or-miss set of aims and goals far beneath TOTAL Victory and vanquishment of the enemy sworn to vanquish and decimate us. As this blog has repeatedly noted, the goal of the regime is to bring international forces to Gaza, as with Lebanon. And, as any thinking person knows; international “peacekeeping” forces lack total credibility based on past record. read more

Officers blocked workers from continuing unauthorized “surfacing work,” said Jerusalem police chief Cmdr. Aharon Franco. “It is our duty to ensure that the status quo is maintained on the Temple Mount.” He said Wakf officials had planned to carry out the work as a result of the tensions in east Jerusalem over the recent violence in the Gaza Strip and that the unusual police intervention sparked opposition on the holy site. read more

Israel’s Security Dependence on Nations: Lessons Never Learned

.
Commentary;

This author finds the logic of government officials and that of many Israelis incredible in it’s abject and profane absurdity.

That officials such as Pensioners’ Affairs Minister Rafi Eitan, the former intelligence official who rolled over on Janathan Pollard (one of the main reasons why Pollard remains incarcerated), can consider rolling back time to the days of UN Mandates which are breakable by the Arabs is insane and absurd.

If one has selective amnesia concerning the broken UN Emergency force mandate which was put in place as a result of Sinai campaign, one surely ought to be able to intellectualize the realization of the flawed Lebanon peacekeeping mission under whose noses Hezbollah has amassed 30,000 rockets and scream bloody murder at a regime which defines victory in a way which is not victory and who sets goals of “winning,” be it in Lebanon or in Gaza, as the one-sided placement of multi-national forces. Jew; “If You’re Alive, You Must be Guilty!”

.
Commentary;

A number of years ago when the legal aide organization Honenu came into existence, their front page showed the picture of a screaming, hysterical woman and the words, “If You’re Alive, You Must be Guilty!”

That simple picture, despite growth of Honenu’s legal services on behalf of Jews who have been incarcerated and imprisoned for defending themselves against Arab terror or for oppposition to regime in power, Arab lynch mobs or perceived imminent body threat to their being, remains indelibly sealed in this author’s minds-eye. read more

Parsha Pekudei 5768: Paradigm Leadership, Accountability, Transparency vs the Revilers in the Camp

.

by Moshe Burt

Our Parsha Pekudei begins; “These are the accounts of the Mishkan (the Sanctuary), the Mishkan of testimony, which were drawn up on Moshe’s orders …” (Shemos, Perek 38, posuk 21 — Metsudah Linear Chumash, page 579).

In short, Pekudei is the accountant’s parsha, the parsha of crunching the numbers.

The Sefer L’lmod U’Lamed (Parsha Pekudei, pages 97-98) asks what the primary reason was for Moshe’s detailed accounting of the costs of the construction of the Mishkan. The Sages tell that “there were apparently some who suspected that Moshe might have keep some … contributions for his own use.” (L’lmod U’Lamed, page 98). read more
