The Shas party, in classic “pants glued to seat” syndrome have issued Olmert their latest lame “ultimatum” about leaving the coalition the moment “talks begin on Jerusalem.”
And if Yishai is soo foolish as to believe that Olmert will keep him “updated immediately on every concession… in diplomatic negotiations”, then we’ve got a “bridge to sell” Yishai — the Brooklyn bridge. And as sure as Hashem made little green apples…, Yishai will find out first via the media, only after slick Ehud has done his latest damage! MB

Commentary;
Back in the old country, we used to have sports pools where if our favorite teams scored so many points or runs, the one who guessed right walked away with some bucks.
Now that the Pa trial of the Pa policemen/hiker killers has concluded and aggregiously short 15 year prison sentences meted out by the Pa court, the pool now begins to see who guesses right and walks away richer as to how short the time will truly be before the murderers walk free to replicate murder and maiming of more Jews. Meanwhile, the spineless self-hating Olmert, who gave free passes to the PA regarding the killers, just stands there focused on one thing and one thing only — maintaining power and staying out of the slammer himself. As always, Israel’s weak-kneed, defeatist, anti-Torah leaders quaked before the contrived Islamic outcry and the resultant “threats by the Palestinian Authority to end diplomatic negotiations, warnings by UN organizations that food aid would have to be suspended, and criticism from friends…” MB

But the question is now, after the Winograd report comes out at January’s end, will the governed unify and rise up to demand, to compel — in unison and in massive numbers — that the Prime Minister and his foreign minister — the two highest ranking government officials still in power who unquestionably bare the greatest responsibility for the Lebanon debacle of summer, 2006 accept responsibility for the harm done to Israel and resign or be dismissed? In a scathing op-ed published in the Italian daily La Stampa, Israeli novelist A. B. Yehoshua said George W. Bush should recall the US ambassador to Israel until the Jewish state dismantles all illegal outposts in the West Bank, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Sunday.
