Sderot Residents Protest Transfer of Shelters

Full Text;

Several Sderot residents barricaded themselves inside a mobile secure room on Friday in protest of a Defense Ministry decision to transfer the rooms from Sderot to the North.

The protesters were trying to prevent the shelter from being loaded onto a truck.

The decision to transfer the shelters was made following this week’s state comptrollers report on the failures in managing the home front during the Second Lebanon War.

Defense officials told Israel Radio that Sderot would receive replacement structures, which were more appropriate for Kassam rocket protection.
