Exerpts;

Knesset Speaker and Acting President Dalia Itzik called Thursday on Israel’s enemies to abandon the path of violence and work toward the well-being of their own societies.

“Our advice to you is replace your Katyushas and Qassams with computers and loving education, the smile of a boy that has a future, and neighborliness,” Itzik said during her speech at the annual torch-lighting ceremony that kicked off Israel’s 59th Independence Day celebrations at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.

Itzik delivered the opening speech and lit the central torch. Israel’s fifth president, Yitzhak Navon, also lit one of the 12 torches.

“We hear the sharpening of swords and voices of war from near and afar. In distant Iran, in nearby Syria, in the Palestinian Authority at out doorstep, there still reside fiery zealots of hate-ridden leaders that believe in their ability to harm the state of Israel,” Itzik said in her speech, adding that “the citizens of Iran, Syria and the Palestinian Authority should think twice about why they are so thirsty for battles and blood.

“Isn’t the blood that you have already spilled enough?” she asked.

Commentary;

Dalia Itzik’s comments are typical of the absurd, delusional, simplisic, infantile secular, leftist effete elitist rhetoric which camouflages the true intent of the policies of successive regimes.

For how can they speak such flowery rhetoric when they themselves display no rooting, no principle, no morality other than self-interest and denigration of Jewish land, as if no better than any other piece of real estate? Do they even understand what Jewish Sovereignty on our holy eternal legacy; Eretz Yisrael is?

It appears increasingly obvious and axiomatic that rhetoric such as that of MK Itzik disguises the true intent of successive regimes; disconnecting Israelis from any Jewish roots, laws, traditions, connection or history.

While they mass soldiers to block access to Homesh to Jews, the rockets, the bombings and the kidnapping attempts continue unabated. Instead of eradicating the enemy, the regime sees the Jews as THE enemy.

At 59 years, modern-day Medinat Yisrael appears to have not progressed far from the hate displayed by Haganah toward Irgun during the “season” as exemplified in Yehuda Avner’s recent piece Independence 1948. Perhaps, there has even been a digression and a greater polarization due to lack of united national purpose. This is what leftist dogma, indoctrination and brainwashing have wreaked upon the masses.
