The kidnapped AP photographer was forced into a car by armed PA Arabs.
His name is Emilio Morenatti and he is said to be a citizen of Spain.
Palestinian Authority security sources, controlled by Hamas, confirmed the kidnapping to the AP. “We are making searches in the area,” an official promised.
In recent months, two Fox News journalists were kidnapped, as well as an American student volunteering for a left-wing group in Shechem. All were released unharmed.

AP photographer Emilio Morenatti, who was reported kidnapped Tuesday in Gaza, was trusted by PA terrorists who in the past offered him an inside views of Al-Aksa Brigades terrorists preparing for attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers.
Morenatti photographed one Al-Aksa terrorist laying a bomb and another carrying an explosive belt to be used in a suicide bombing. He also seems to have accompanied terrorists on an attack. The Al-Aksa Brigades are affiliated with PA president Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah group.
A source from one of the major wire services told Arutz-7 that all the agencies are given such access and it is not an indication of any heightened involvement with the groups.
