Wednesday War News …

Commentary;

Something seems amiss. For the past number of days, at least since Sunday, there is little war-related news to speak of from any of the major news sites, including Israel National News. In the view of this author, that this could suddenly be is unfathomable. This author’s guess is that big-time spin and censorship is at work as Olmert, Peretz, Halutz, etc. scurry around endeavoring to prove that Israel “won” the War in Lebanon and that there’s no need for an investigatory panel with clout.

However, the reality of the 3 kidnapped soldiers who remain in captivity, the documented Rearmament of Hezbollah and the apparent failure to create a “robust” multi-national or UNIFIL force reveals the utter maliciousness of the lies and deceptions of the Olmert regime. MB

IDF Soldier Killed as Givati Company Trips Old Landmines

Excerpts;

“The Givati Brigade accidentally walked into a minefield in southern Lebanon, near Har Dov, also known as the Sheeba Farms.

“A platoon commander and another soldier were listed in serious condition, and the battalion commander was in moderate condition. Several other soldiers were lightly injured. The army had planted the minefield just across Israel’s northern border years ago to prevent terrorists from infiltrating.”

Commentary;

Why didn’t they have a clue as to location of this minefield? The IDF has held the positions near Har Dov (Sheeba Farms) for years, for decades. Is General Staff that incompetent? Halutz Must Go, Achshav! MB

Netanyahu Calls for State Inquiry Commission

Excerpt;

“‘We have to learn lessons from the war,’ Netanyahu said. ‘With this many inadequacies, there is no choice but to form a state commission of inquiry. If we don’t learn lessons, there will be another round [of war] that will not end well for Israel.'”

Commentary;

Anyone who thinks Bibi’s wishy-washy routine is any better, think again — it’s worn thin! MB
