Olmert & Kadima: Follow Me! But, Where?

Kadima: Follow Me to the Middle of Nowhere

Excerpts;

“Olmert stands for nothing and has accomplished even less.”

Israelis love slogans. Come up with the right slogan, even if it makes no sense, if it’s a total lie, and they will support anyone, and any cause. Sell them ‘Peace Now’ wrapped up in little white doves, and they’ll vote for that. And if instead they get exploding buses and pizza parlors, dead babies on the streets, they won’t stop believing. They won’t look back and say: ‘Gee, those politicians were incompetent liars, let’s kick them out of office and keep them there.’ Not at all. Come up with another slogan and the exact same politicians will get their vote again.”

“Brothers and sisters, we have a very little country. We have made so many, many mistakes. Isn’t it time we stopped electing leaders who blindly put our women and children on the front lines against our enemies? Isn’t it time we stopped listening to our not very intelligent journalists and TV news people, clueless leftists all? Isn’t it time to look back before we jump over the cliff once more? Kadima is in the middle all right. In the middle of no where.

Abbas: Al-Qaida is in W. Bank, Gaza

Excerpts;

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas told the Arab daily el-Hayat on Thursday that he has proof that al-Qaida cells have infiltrated, and are operating in the West Bank and Gaza.

“‘We have intelligence information that al-Qaida is in the West Bank and Gaza. I am very concerned about this,’ said Abbas.”

‘If they succeeded in infiltrating in such a way, and if no one watches over them, the result could be disastrous for the entire region. The last piece of information I received on the subject was three days ago, but we still have not been able to lay our hands on the operatives,‘ he said.”

“A Hamas spokesman responded to Abbas’s claim by saying that his organization has no intelligence information regarding al-Qaida cells in the West Bank or Gaza.”

Olmert: Hamas is Enemy, but Not All Palestinians

Full Text;

“Acting Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Wednesday warned against considering all Palestinians as Israel’s enemies after the violent Islamic Hamas won a parliamentary election in January.”

“Campaigning before Israel’s March 28 general election, Olmert urged Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to require the new Palestinian government, which Hamas is forming, to uphold agreements with Israel signed by previous regimes.”

“Olmert differed with his foreign minister, Tzipi Livni, who called Abbas ‘not relevant’ in the wake of the Hamas victory. ‘We hope that Abu Mazen (Abbas) will have the strength and courage and the decisiveness and will fulfill his obligations under the road map,’ Olmert said, referring to an internationally backed Mideast peace plan.”

“Olmert said, ‘We shall not declare every Palestinian an enemy. Hamas is the enemy.'”

“He said Israel would pursue any opportunity for peace, but at the same time it would relentlessly fight Palestinian terrorism. He singled out Gaza militants who have been firing homemade Kassam rockets at Israel.”

Election May be Dictating Gov’t Policy Regarding Illegal Arab Buildings

Full Text;

“A document sent to the Israel Lands Administration from Israel Police raises a suspicion police are maintaining a “sit-and-watch” attitude regarding widespread ongoing illegal construction in the Arab sector.”

The document prepared by Emakim District Chief of Operations Avi Azoulay was sent to Lands Administration Northern District official Yaakov Vidal.

“A report in Thursday’s daily Ma’ariv, quoting the document, states that the scheduled expulsion from illegal buildings in the village of Ein-Mahal will be carried out after the elections, a decision that was reached following an evaluation of the situation.”
