Kadima: Both the Patron and Recipient of a Nation in Denial …

This past Thursday, Barak at IRIS Blog posted selected quotes from a column written by Evelyn Gordon, Kadima: The Teflon Political Party.

These two IMRA articles below are companions for the Gordon article in that, just as when Mofaz, during the run-up to the expulsion in Gush Katif told “… his generals that working too vigorously to fortify Negev communities will weaken public support for the disengagement”, “… in the 20 months since then, not only has the work not been completed; in most communities, it has not even begun.”

Close But No Cigar: Rocket Hits Strategic Ashkelon Area – No Casualties

Text: Official PA Website Terms Ashkelon “Occupied”, Place Hit By Qassams Near Ashkelon “Settlement”

The towns of S’derot, Ashkelon, etc. are now paying the price for the expulsion from Gush Katif, Israel’s one-sided surrender in the “Crossing Deals”, the complete lack of defensive umbrella around towns such as S’derot, Ashkelon, Ashdod, etc.

The instances which Gordon cites in her story show this author conclusively that the deception described is symptomatic of the systemic deceptions which enabled Sharon to carry out the expulsion unimpeded, as well as to surrender at the crossings and under which Olmert continues to systemically operate to disguise the utter hate disdain of the Kadima ilk for anything Torah, anything Jewish. hat they would gladly hand over all of Israel to her sworn enemies in the name of this causeless, senseless, irrational hate. This author also sees in Caroline Glick’s latest offering; Column One: The Lies We Tell Ourselves still further proof that this systemic deception extends to this very day.

These excerpts deliver the message emphatically;

“Olmert’s decision to send a force of 6,000 policemen to the community of Amona on Wednesday in order to destroy nine homes was an act of deliberate provocation. His aim was to divert the attention of Israeli voters from the Hamas state in Gaza and the Hamas state-in-the-making in Judea and Samaria by providing them with pictures of settlers battling riot police. This was necessary because Olmert’s only policy regarding Hamas is to transfer Judea and Samaria to their control.”

“In light of this, Olmert and his associates desperately strive for the Israeli electorate to ignore the fact that the only real issue on the agenda today is whether Hamas will rule over Judea and Samaria or the Israeli military will rule over Judea and Samaria. As Israelis learned from 2000 to 2002, when the IDF cedes control over Judea and Samaria to the Palestinians, life for Israelis becomes impossible. The security of Tel Aviv is dependent on Israel maintaining control of Jenin, Nablus, Kalkilya and Tulkarm. The security of Jerusalem is dependent on Israeli control of Bethlehem, Ramallah and Hebron.

“Given the strategic threat that Hamas control of Judea and Samaria poses to Israel, Olmert’s fervent wish is for them to postpone their takeover until after the elections, allowing him to continue his diversionary campaign against his own people unfettered by the weight of reality.”

And opposing political leaders such as Netanyahu and Likud are in complete, utter dereliction of duty in their solemn obligation to protest this malfeasance in office by Sharon, Olmert and the complete Kadima clan. Bibi and company are running a campaign seemingly rooted in self-deception, the deception being that they can defeat Kadima without repeatedly pounding Israelis regarding Olmert’s deception-driven surrender campaign. Thus, the Likud campaign completely lacks credibility. They seem totally unwilling to do what it will take to defeat Kadima. MB
