This author includes the story regarding Israel attacking Iran’s Nuclear Facilities as it is integral in Sharon’s political game-plan in the run-up to the 28 March, 2006 Elections. Please read on through this entire category to see how all of the ends pull against the middle leading to Kadima’s implosion. MB
Report: Israel Will Attack Iran’s Nuclear Facilities
Excerpt:
“The British Sunday Times reported Sunday that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has ordered the IDF to prepare to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities at the end of March 2006, after Israeli intelligence supposedly discovered a number of secret uranium enrichment sites that were disguised as civilian buildings.”

1. Watch out for Shimon Peres and Kadima
12/11/2005 06:20
The Iranian saga won’t be over if Sharon attacks the nuclear reactor in order to be reelected, or even afterwards. Two related tragic consequences loom in the horizon. The first is that after such an attack the world will demand that Israel “make amends” to the Muslims by making more suicidal concessions to the Palestinians. Back from the Persian carpet to the road map, they will say. The second is that this time Shimon Peres and his Kadima/Labor allies will be all over Sharon to do just that. Back to the Auschwitz borders and out of Jerusalem, they will say. And Sharon will comply, to stay in power.
5. election ploy?

So why would they wait until the end of March?? Sounds like a Sharon election ploy, so if Israel doesn’t do anything before the March election, the voters will still think he will take action.
Aaron Lerner’s Independent Media Research and Analysis (IMRA) provides the text of
the The Sunday London Times article: Israel Readies Forces for Strike on Nuclear Iran.
Excerpt:
“ISRAEL’S armed forces have been ordered by Ariel Sharon, the prime minister, to be ready by the end of March for possible strikes on secret uranium enrichment sites in Iran, military sources have revealed.”
“The order came after Israeli intelligence warned the government that Iran was operating enrichment facilities, believed to be small and concealed in civilian locations.”
Defense Official Denies Report of Imminent Attack Against Iran
Sharon’s Softshoe? Who said anything about imminent?? The reports posted speak of a strike at the end of March — what we’ll call “Sharon’s March Surprise!”
This author finds it shocking that planning for such an attack possibility can’t be done in total secrecy. A question can be asked;
Did the London Times give a Heads-Up prior to the Attack on the Iraqi Reactor during the Begin years? Was it likely back in those days, everyone kept their mouths shut, planned the operation in silence and carried it out?
Finally, if such an action is not thoroughly and totally planned out and if the mission Chas V’Chalilah fails, as undertaken by a desperate Humpty-Dumpty Prime Minister whose renegade party takes a Great Fall in the polls, the results could be suicidal for Israel and the Jewish People. MB
And Now for the Gang Who Can’t Straight;
Shalom Urges Mofaz to Quit Race
Excerpts:
“Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom called upon Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz over the weekend to quit next week’s Likud leadership primary and back him instead in order to defeat former prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu.”
“Shalom said he would be pleased to receive Mofaz’s support after Ma’ariv published a Teleseker poll on Friday that found that Shalom would finish second to Netanyahu in the race and Mofaz would finish a disappointing fourth, behind Likud activist Moshe Feiglin.”
Prediction Comes True:
Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz quits Likud, joins Kadima
Excerpts;
“Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz has left the Likud Party and joined Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s Kadima Party after a disappointing showing in the polls in the race for Likud leadership.”
“Foreign Minister and candidate for Likud leadership Silvan Shalom said that Mofaz left the party because he had fallen behind in the polls. Shalom told reporters at the prime minister’s office that he was looking forward to what will now more or less be a one-on-one race against Netanyahu who, according to Shalom, was too right-wing to stop the drift of personalities from Likud to Kadima.”
“The Likud ‘needs someone who can return the Likud to the nation and I can do it,’ Shalom said. ‘The Likud is my home and it’s a way of life for me. I’m sorry about anyone who leaves the Likud.'”
“Agriculture Minister Yisrael Katz, a Likud leadership contender who, like Mofaz, was lagging in the polls, said that he was staying in the race and criticized Mofaz for ‘changing his loyalties like a pair of socks.‘”
Commentary:
Another prediction comes true; After his recent scathing “attack” upon Sharon headlined;
Mofaz: PM Using Defense Officials as Pawns (arrow down). Mofaz leaves Likud amidst predictable attacks upon Moshe Feiglin and Manhigut Yehudit. Mofaz’s absurd comments seem to mirror, monkey-see/monkey-do, the comments of Shalom and, before him, Yisrael Katz. Equally absurd is the fact that on the very day that Shaul Mofaz walked out of Likud and into Kadima, a letter arrived at the homes of Likud voters from Shaul Mofaz pleading with them to vote for — Shaul Mofaz!
But as predicted a few days ago, “Mofaz appears as a Sharon Trojan Horse in Likud. With Hanegbi’s defection, Likud has lost one such Trojan Horse, but there are a few more to go.” With Mofaz’s defection, “another one bites the dust.” MB
Now, this report;
Mofaz Assured Defense Portfolio
Excerpt:
“Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz is being promised the defense portfolio in a government headed by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, prompting the senior minister’s decision to leave Likud.”
But knowing Arik Sharon’s alleged penchant for lying, cheating and breaking promises, how secure can the poor, naive Shaul Mofaz feel up against the likes of Ramon, Vilnai, etc. — all of the old military rivals?
Don’t ya just love it. T.O. time of contention, mutual recrimination, fractiousness and Kadima implosion — coming soon, very soon! MB
