The IDF’s Golani Brigade entered northern Gaza after 2 AM, and continues to advance. Some of the units have already reached their destinations, such as in El Atatra, just south of Dugit, from where Kassams were fired at Ashkelon, a crowded built up area. Over the past few days, the forces have penetrated only as deep as 600-1000 meters into Gaza, but they have now already gone as far as 5-6 kilometers.

Sephardic Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar this week came out strongly against the International Gay Pride Parade, scheduled to take place in Jerusalem next month. Rabbi Amar joined a growing list of prominent religious leaders, Jewish, Catholic and Muslim, who came out against the parade.

Rabbi Amar stated the Torah prohibits homosexuality and in the past, “such people hid their life style,” lamenting the fact that today, “there is no shame”. Rabbi Amar called the planned event an “abomination,” stating it is an affront to “all decent people.” read more
