Thursday War News: Operation Cast Lead — Day 13 — 6 Katyushas Launched on North as Gaza War, “Diplomacy” Continue; Bus Attacked by Molotov Cocktail, 1 Injured in Attempted Terror Attack on Gas Station

.
Commentary;

This blog asked a few days ago if the Israeli government will squander the IDF’s Gaza War achievements. Events on the diplomatic front continued to show strong indications that Israel’s Troika of Olmert, Livni and Barak are close to doing just that, wasting the degradation of Hamas’ capabilities, the lives of the 9 fatalities and more on a ceasefire based on international forces in Gaza — a rerun of Lebanon.

So concerned are IDF’s defense establishment officials that Ynet’s Hanan Greenberg reports that they have warned; read more

Monday War News: Operation Cast Lead — Day 10 — Will Israeli Government Squander Possible IDF Achievements?

.

Commentary;

IMRA’s Dr. Aaron Lerner notes that the current regime, the Olmert, Livni, Barak Troika are aiming to emulate, in Gaza, the Lebanon cease-fire model which columnist Caroline Glick recently described.

Dr. Lerner cites Roni Sofer’s report; Israel Examining International Treaty to Isolate Hamas which follows up his (Sofer’s) report of Sunday, noted on this blog, where he lists Olmert’s conditions to end the conflict.

Lerner comments;

There is a fairly straightforward explanation for PM Olmert’s interest in an international force: The Olmert-Livni team adamantly claims that the Second Lebanon War was a fantastic success because it concluded with the introduction of the grossly ineffective international force…. They thus see their reputations tied to the validity of using international forces. read more

Sunday War News UPDATE: Operation Cast Lead — Day 9 — First IDF Fatality on Ground, 34 Others Wounded as Hamas Command-and-Control Disrupted

.

Commentary;

The results of the first day on the ground show that Operation Cast Lead will be anything but a cake-walk. Israel lost her first ground fatality;

St.-Sgt. Dvir Emmanueloff, 22, from Givat Ze’ev and of the Golani reconnaissance unit, was killed on Sunday by mortar shell shrapnel during clashes with Hamas terrorists near Jabalya.

Meanwhile, Ynet’s Roni Sofer reports Olmert’s comments to Tony Blair, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev regarding the goals of the operation. These comments leave more questions than they answered. read more

Monday War News UPDATE: Israel Blasts Truck Full of Grads as ‘Cast Lead’ Continues and as Jewish Casualties Mount from Continuing Kassams, Mortars; Islamic Retaliations in Jerusalem, Kever Rachel, Route 443, Kedumim; 74 Illegals Nabbed in Tel Aviv

.
Commentary;

As the Israel Air Force continues blasting away on day 3 of ‘Cast Lead’, Kassam and mortar hits on Ashkelon, Ashdod and the Negev mount up as do Jewish casualties. Are we witnessing a replay of Lebanon 2006? Defense Minister Ehud Barak is quoted as stating that this is “all-out war” with Hamas, a “war to the bitter end.”

Remember those words if or when the same electioneering opportunistic ploysters Ehud Barak and Tzipy Livni spin a repeat of the Lebanon conflict results, imposed ceasefire in Gaza with international forces to further obstruct Israel’s sovereignty and self-defense. MB read more

Absurd “Truce” and Coming Deployment of Gaza Multinat’l Arab Force

.
Commentary;

Visualize a multinational Arab force deployed in the area which would serve to both disrupt and provide safe haven and shielding for rocket and mortar launching cells as well as deployments preparatory to attacks upon Israel; in short, exactly what is happening in South Lebanon, only worse.

Further, about the truce itself, consider this from senior military sources;

It was not clear, however, what would constitute a breakdown of the cease-fire, with one official saying Israel would have a tough time responding to occasional and sporadic rocket fire. read more

Regime Posturing and Backing Down: It’s Beyond Embarrassing

.

Commentary;

The repeated saber-rattling of the Olmert-Livni-Barak regime has long-since passed way beyond embarrassing. Each episode of saber-rattling, of talking the talk, is inevitably followed shortly thereafter by these incompetent, self-serving political hacks backing down out of fear, intimidation by, and subserviance to the superpower. Without a belief-based rooting, these irreligious so-called “leaders” are thus disabused of “walking the walk.”

And so what results is, as with the Lebanon conflict, a hodge-podge, hit-or-miss set of aims and goals far beneath TOTAL Victory and vanquishment of the enemy sworn to vanquish and decimate us. As this blog has repeatedly noted, the goal of the regime is to bring international forces to Gaza, as with Lebanon. And, as any thinking person knows; international “peacekeeping” forces lack total credibility based on past record. read more

Are Israeli Masses Finally Waking Up and Acting?

.
Commentary;

Municipal services strikes, road blockages, making the comfortable Israelis of Tel Aviv feel the pain of the southern communities besieged daily by dozens of Kassams and mortars and the northern communities who have been declassified of their special status as a conflict zone, negating their tax and budget benefits.

From the successive regimes who foisted Oslo upon us has evolved the class system; the dual states of Israel; the privileged, the protected vs the masses of common people, throughout Israel — north, south, Gush Katif, Yehuda and Shomron who have gotten the short-end, an outrageously raw deal from the protexia ruling class.
