Sharon’s Appointments Defeated Despite Compromise, Olmert Ratified for Finance Minister, Sharon Vows Revenge Against Rebels

Knesset Rejects Sharon’s Appointments, Olmert Appointment Ratified, Sharon Vows Consequences Against Likud Rebels

Excerpts regarding “Compromise”;

“The Likud mediators, MKs Gideon Sa’ar and Michael Eitan, will present a proposal on Monday in the Likud Knesset faction that they hope will guarantee the party six months without disputes. But the proposal makes no mention of Monday’s vote, and Likud rebel MKs said that they would accept the proposal but oppose the appointments, almost guaranteeing the appointments’ failure.” read more

Bassi’s “Solution”?

Bassi Touts Housing Plan for Evacuees

This short critique, including quotes from the linked article, assuredly doesn’t nick surface of all of the dis-information, mis-information, mal-feasance, non-feasance, graft and corruption of Bassi and his “authority.” MB

Bassi: “Some 450 families are still in hotels awaiting such homes”

What about all of the families in tent cities, Ir Emuna, Rented Apartments, etc.? There are many hundred families more than 450 awaiting viable, temporary, communal solutions. MB read more

In Succahs, but Still Homeless

Double Meaning of Sukkot For Expulsion Victims

The government of Israel is still deliberately foot-dragging and denying the Jewish refugee families (that they forcibly expelled at legalized gunpoint from Gush Katif and the Shomron) compensation and resettlement solutions. The government’s aim: to deliberately fight a war of attrition against the refugees in effort to force them to split up, to divide and conquer, thus destroying productive Torah communities. And many refugees are starting to draw parallels between their plight and the ongoing 20 plus year plight of Jonathan Pollard. read more

Another Take on Refugee Families Rebuilding Process.

Humpty Dumpty

Here is another take on the refugees rebuilding process. Two problems that I have with the writer’s perspective; One problem I see is that, since the refugee families have been robbed at legal gunpoint by the government of Israel of their homes and possessions and have little hope of seeing any of the “compensation”, how are they able to move on? Rebuilding takes money and credit, all of which they have been stripped of by the Sharon regime.

The other problem with the “Humpty Dumpty” premise is, as seems indicated in The Dispersal Plan , that the secular government of Israel so fears “… such strong tribes, so strong they became known for providing the armed forces with the finest, most dedicated, most skilled soldiers, or that they would bring to the country much needed cash from their export industries. The potent Judea, Samaria and Gaza communities are not what Sharon and the secular Zionists had in mind.” read more

Border Guards join Evictees in Being Snookered by Sharon Regime

Police Dismiss Officers Recruited for Disengagement Duty

It seems that the overwhelming majority of refugee families from Gush Katif and the Shomron towns who have yet to receive shekel one of compensation are not the only ones being lied to by the Sharon regime. Now it seems that some of their evictors, 280 of the new Border Guard officers who had been hired with the promise that their employment would be long-term beyond the “disengagement,” are now being terminated. The terminations are under the guise of “severe financial constraints in the police department, under whose auspices the Border Guards fall.” read more

More on Hezy Chazani Burial Costs and Overall State of Refugee Families..

Update: According to the latest report, State of [Evicted] Gush Katif, Northern Gaza and Northern Shomron Communities Report #11, Minister of Science and Technology Matan Vilnai was contacted and the matter of the 30,000 NIS burial of Hezi Chazani was handled by Vilnai’s office. “Vilnai’s staff is eager to let the public know that if, G-d forbid, another evacuee dies, his family will not have to pay to have their loved one buried.”

One small little problem, the matter has not been handled as yet and if it is not handled by 25 October, there will be no tombstone on the grave. My sources express grave doubt that the Chazani family will ever see these funds from the government, and just as none but a very few number of evictees have seen any compensation from the government, the overwhelming majority of evictees face court fights for years in efforts to recover that which is due them, that which has been stolen from them. read more

Leave Lili Alone

The article Leave Lili Alone drives home the fact that a caste society exists in Israel; for Leftist effetes there is total democracy and for their opponents for which there is a police state. The current crop of corrupt, self-interested, agendized politicians have cast the Religious in total negative, sub-human terms. Why should Arik Sharon and his deceased wife be any more privileged than the 10,000 Jews he evicted at legalized gunpoint and now taunts and mistreats by withholding the compensation that they are entitled to? And why should his deceased wife be any more privileged than the deceased Gush Katif residents which he hard-heartedly uprooted from their graves? Leaders lead by example and the current prime minister is a poor example of a national leader! read more

Withstanding and Defying a Gezeira Rah

I followed up the previous word of Torah with the following;

Withstanding and Defying a Gezeira Rah
By Moshe Burt

I wrote previously regarding the contrast between the story behind the Unesaneh Tokef tefillah (expressing the seriousness of the day): the Gezeira Rah (evil decree) faced by R’ Amnon of Mainz and his Kehilla of forced conversion to Christianity dating back about 1,000 years, and the Gezeira Rah that we are currently living through regarding the forced expulsion of Jews from divinely ordained Jewish Land and handing that land over to avowed enemies bent on the eradication of the Jewish people. As previously stated, the Unesaneh Tokef tefillah is recited on both days of Rosh Hashana and on Yom Kippur. read more
