Electric and Utility Sanctions Against Gaza: Will Israel Embarrass Herself Before the Nations by Bowing to Pressure to Back Off?

.

Dr. Aaron Lerner of IMRA (Independent Media Research and Analysis) hits the nail on the head warning that Israeli sanctions are a lame substitute for doing what needs to be done — destroying, eradicating the PA terror army and their cache of weapons, explosives and ammunition from Egypt. This author expands on Lerner’s position — that if the PA terror army is to be destroyed, the cache of weapons eliminated must extend to that supplied by the US, the very weaponry which would have come into play had the alleged PA guards’ assassination plot on prime minister Olmert actually been attempted. read more

Regime Seeks to Restore Electricity to Gaza Terrorists …

Government to Vote on Supplying Electricity to Gaza

The government will vote Sunday on a proposal to supply electricity from Israel to the Gaza Strip, in order to resume electricity to the area after an Israel Air Force strike on a Palestinian power station there.

If approved, the Israel Electric Corporation will erect special electrical lines stretching from Israel into Gaza. According to government sources, Sunday’s vote follows days of international pressure.

The Gaza Strip requires 200 megawatts of electricity, half of which is provided by the power station, and half which is supplied by the Israel Electric Corporation. After the IAF strike, the power station’s capacity was cut by half. read more

“If We Need to Cut Electricity, Cut Off Gaza First”

Full Text;

Referring to yesterday’s power outages, MK Eliyahu Gabbai of the NRP stated earlier today: “If we urgently need to cut off the electricity, we should cut off Gaza first and plunge Shechem and Jenin into darkness. Israeli citizens and the country’s economy should not be harmed by a lack of electricity while the enemies of the state enjoy a steady electricity supply.”

Mr. Gabbai added, “The electricity supply in Sderot will be cut off, putting the red dawn early warning system in jeopardy, while in Gaza everyone continues to burn their electric lights while firing their missiles.” read more
