The well-meaning opinion writer below is engaging in wishful thinking and grabbing at straws — undoubtedly NOT something that the Freedom for Jonathan Pollard movement wants to be involved or associated with.

The writer himself revisits history in noting that Peres was [unelected] prime minister at the time of Pollard’s capture and encarceration.

Peres has a documented record of not letting the truth; his failures, i.e. his relationship with Arafat, his manipulation of Oslo upon the Jewish people, and the resultant abandonment of sizeable parts of Jewish land to the Arabs. He has never once admitted or been contrite for the error, the total folly of his ways, despite all of the loss of Jewish lives and the injuring and maiming of countless numbers of Jews. read more

A senior Israeli police officer testified that 1,300 troops were told to club, trample and gas protesters, most of them teenagers, who sought to block the demolition of nine unlicensed Jewish homes in Amona in February 2005 [2006].
