There’s no great new revelation here. Rabbis and outreach professionals as well as public opinion professionals have foretold this detachment for decades, for centuries.

And why this increasing detachment? When Israel’s own leaders eat and whittle away Israel’s raison d’etre for existence; the rebirth of a Jewish medina, a Jewish home and nation; it seems only natural that as marginal Jews drift further and further fom their Jewish roots and heritage, the evolving hypocrisy of Israel’s elitist governmental leaders, now in denial of the modern nation’s founding ideals, would inevitably take it’s toll. On Wednesday, 5 September, 2007 George Friedman of Strategic Forecasting, Inc. released a paper which debunks the myths of Harvard professors John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt regarding the activities and “manipulations (sic)” of the “Israel Lobby.”

This blog has excerpted only the summation of Friedman’s paper.

Contrary to Mearsheimer and Walt’s assertions that successive adminstration’s having been manipulated “The Israel Lobby”, Friedman’s paper on the history of US/Israel relations shows conclusively that the United States dogmatically pursues it’s own interests and extends support and cooperation to another country ONLY when that country’s interests are deemed amenable by a US administration, the state department, etc. to the perceived interests of the U.S. Thus we see, for example, perennial US support for such as Saudi Arabia, primarily based on Saudi oil leverage and America’s gas needs and mobility. read more

Olmert was apparently too busy [presumably giving away more of Eretz Yisrael or freeing more Islamic terrorists to kill more Jews] to have the decency to attend the commendations ceremony to honor the valor and heroism of the IDF soldiers who saved his and his cronies cookies from complete rout by Hezbollah. Glick’s title, “Of Men and Mice”, indeed!

Why are we repeatedly fed this leftist propaganda; “checkpoints breed the next generation of bombers?

When will Israelis get the picture; that taking down checkpoints, rather than being seen as a kindness, as “confidence-building” and as an act of peace, is seen by the Islamics in the same vein as Olmert’s plan to release hundreds more terrorists from prison before Ramadan, as further proof of weakness, an act to be laughed at disdainfully? Over the past number of months, we have been asked to make daily or weekly calls to the White House. Apparently the bombardment of calls
to the White House has brought about the ploy and tactic being utilized by their switchboard in speaking with Pollard callers; “Mr. Pollard was eligible for parole, but had not requested parole.”

In the excerpts of the Israel National News article below, Rabbi Pesach Lerner responds with a lengthy explanation in essence stating that going the parole route would be a disservice to Jonathan. read more
