Two months ago, Barak of IRIS wrote re-expressing what is the concensus throughout blogosphere, that the Mohammed al-Dura scam is referred to as the Biggest News Scandal of All Time.
Caroline Glick has written on the Mohammed al-Dura affair twice in the past week. The first article was in the context of properly discrediting Avrum Burg and Haaretz reporter Danny Rubinstein, Jewish authors of lies, fabrications and perfidy against Israel. Glick decried the Israeli “Foreign Ministry’s contemptuous treatment of French Jewish activist Philippe Karsenty, who is being hounded by the French media giant France 2 television network for his dogged defense of Israel and the IDF. ”

Eldad is right. There is only one way to evade this trap. But, regretfully Moshe Feiglin is NOT the head of Likud and there is NO OTHER LEADER capable of bucking the collective Israeli MK syndrome of

The Mussaf portion of any prayers; Yom Tov, Rosh Chodesh, Shabbos represent the essence, the main point of that day.
On Yom Kippur, the essence of the service, the ikar is the avodah of the Kohen Godol. So much so is this the case that the Mussaf service centers around the order of the Kohen Godol’s service in the Kodosh Kodoshim (the Holy of Holies in the Beit HaMikdash). The service includes all of the preparations which the Kohen Godol makes prior to the service, the clothing he must wear at each step of the avodah, the number of times that the Kohen must bathe himself prior to each change of clothing and before each step of his service, the drawing of lots determining which goat is for Hashem and which for The Mountain of Azazel (the goat designated by lot to bear the burden of death to rectify B’nai Yisrael’s sins) and more. And by virtue of our being Hashem’s “most favored nation”, The Kohen Godol is to the Jews a paradigm of Hashem’s blueprint of what the Jews are to represent to the other nations of Mankind.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Sunday denied reports that Israel and the Palestinians were very close to signing a declaration of principles.
“We are talking about a joint statement which we hope will be the focus of the international summit in November. When we reach a statement, I will bring it to the government. I don’t plan to hide it. There is a difference between a declaration of principles and a statement,” Olmert said at a Kadima and Gil Pensioners ministerial meeting.
