The positioning in Torah of our Parsha Emor, following last week’s Parsha Kedoshim gives rise to thought and contemplation.
Kedoshim teaches “…You shall be holy, for holy am I, Hashem, your G’d.” (Sefer Vayikra, Perek 19, posuk 1) And we learn that the epitome of this holiness is the principle taught by Rabbi Hillel to the convert, on one foot, says “V’ohavtoh L’reiachoh Komochoh” — “… you shall love your fellow as yourself…” (Sefer Vayikra, Perek 19, posuk 18) The Halachot subsequently taught in Parsha Kedoshim are all built upon the emulation of Hashem.

Three days ago, this blog asked; “Why Reveal IDF Probes Before Findings Are In?” and posited that the regime felt sooo compelled by MSM (mainstream media) and PC (political correctness) criticism as to give in to it by publically announcing a probe of the Beit Hanun operation, knowing that the very announcement of such a probe is perceived by nations, particularly by the Islamics, as a sign of guilt, as validation of their false and bogus propaganda?

Commentary;
The righteous-appearing comments of prime minister Olmert on the Holocaust are nothing more than shallow, self-serving rhetoric. Olmert reveals with these words not the least comprehension of the implications and true meanings of words he mutters, were these words to have been spoken by a true leader of the Jewish people.
But Israel’s Spirit with which “no power… can contend” seemingly appears, in Olmert’s view of actuality “too tired to fight, too tired to win… “ These very words will be repeated again, and again, and again to bear witness against Ehud Olmert and his ilk as long as he and they remain they government in power; as long as Olmert remains in politics.
