Mekorot takes steps against Qassams at facility in Ashkelon

“The Mekorot Water Company has stopped injecting chlorine gas at a facility near Ashkelon for fear that Palestinian-fired rockets will hit tanks holding the potentially deadly substance, a company official said yesterday.”
“Instead, it has begun using liquid hypochlorite, which costs seven times as much as chlorine gas, to disinfect the water supply, said Menachem Nechama, director of Mekorot’s southern division.”
“Palestinians in Gaza have launched rockets that landed near sensitive installations outside Ashkelon in recent weeks, including a power plant and fuel depot. No rockets have yet fallen near Mekorot’s facility yet, but it decided to use hypochlorite in any case, Nechama explained.”
Here is another point where the government of Israel has abrogated it’s sacred responsibility to the people it leads, the electorate who placed it in office. And Yosef Q.
