Journal: A Bitter End to a Dream Project

In November, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice brokered a deal between Israel and the Palestinian Authority that called for the only goods crossing leading out of the fenced-in Gaza Strip, Karni, to remain open except in cases of exceedingly specific security threats.
But during the height of the harvest season, from January until now, Karni was closed by Israel more often than it was open, sometimes for weeks straight, because of what Israel said were continuous security threats from Palestinian terrorists.
And the media bias amongst Israel’s MSM fits right in with Worldwide MSM;
Israeli Shelling Bloodies Gaza
Below is typical fare of the worldwide MSM bias against Israel;
1/ The headline itself which totally negates the shelling and missile bombardment of southern Israel by Hamas, Jihad Kassams and Katushyas.
2/ “But continued rocket fire into Israeli communities, and Israel’s withering response with artillery barrages into northern Gaza [shelling empty fields], have destroyed hopes for quiet, let alone peace and quiet.”

While sporadic Palestinian fire has killed and wounded, it has usually tended to damage property and ruin peace of mind. Israel’s rain of shells has taken a bloodier toll, including at least five Palestinian civilians killed [above, MSM admits that Jews have been killed or wounded by Arab missile assualts, but somehow 5 “palestinians” are of more import than the years of shelling bombardments and killing of many more Jews both inside and outside of Gaza to which the voluminous number of war headline links listed on this blog and others will attest], and many more wounded in the last two months as Israel enforces a “no-go” zone in the northern strip near the site of its former Gaza settlements.
4/MSM totally negates the age-old Arab technique of fighters striking innocents and then running to hide behind Arab civilians, knowing Israel’s sensitivity to harming enemy civilians. MB
