During the heated campaign between Hillary Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama for the Democratic candidacy for US President, Clinton has made a number of statements specifically directed toward the Jewish vote, particularly during the run-up to Tuesday’s Pennsylvania primary. This author takes great issue with one of these statements in particular.
Before the masses of American Jews take Hillary Clinton’s recent statement; If Iran attacks Israel, the US could ‘totally obliterate them’ as a great achievement and an expression of unshakable alliance with Israel, this author feels compelled to harken back to the great American actor/comedian Jimmy Durante, who during his act, would grab his hat, shake that monstrous nose and bellow;
“Stop da music, Stop da music!”
That’s right American Jews, “Stop da music” and look inside Hillary’s statement. Her words are personally insulting to the intelligence of any thinking Jew. There is nothing in her comments about an American role in preemptively doing away with Iran’s nuclear industry or Iran’s ability to manufacture nuclear bombs and their delivery systems. And Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has already boasted having acquired, or are under development, ballistic missiles capable not only of reaching Israel, but of reaching locations in Europe, and perhaps even reaching the US.
Further, Clinton statement suggests an Israel remaining as a “sitting duck”, not taking any independent action to protect itself or any preemptive action, in the absence of American, to eliminate Iran’s nuclear industry and nuclear weapons and delivery system capability.
What Hillary Clinton’s statement represents is a presumption of a timid impotent Israel, incapable of her own independent defense. Unfortunately, this portrait and presumption seems in tandem with Israel’s “too tired” troika — Olmert, Livni and Barak and their do-nothing Shas coalition partners.
What Hillary’s statement represents is a fearful consequence of the Olmert regime acting as an impotent, as an entity incapable of independent self-defensive action. Her statement presumes the impotence of Israel’s national resolve and defense. Her statement is anything but that of an ally.
For by the time an impotent Olmert regime would absorb a first hit; by law of nature (derech hateva), Israel’s and Judaism’s epitaph would be inscribed, long before any US attempt to counterattack; to “obliterate Iran.” MB

It is within the United States’ power to destroy Iran if it attacks Israel, warned Democratic presidential hopeful Senator Hilary Clinton in an interview on ABC television Monday night.
“In the next ten years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them,” said Clinton.
