Almost a week after Oslo, oops, make that Annapolis, it is now being reported how the Israeli leftist msm (mainstream media) buried the story relating to the fact that PA policemen were arrested for the murder of former Homesh resident Ido Zoldan as the Annapolis summit was getting underway.
Being 59 years old, this author remembers well the Francis Gary Powers U-2 incident which blew up a summit between then President Eisenhower and Soviet head Nikita Khrushchev. But both the US and the Russians are nations possess, possessed national self-esteem.
The same cannot be for the protexia cronies headed by chief etrog Ehud Olmert. Not only did the conference take place, but the leftist-agendized Israeli msm saw to it that whatever reports were filed regarding the Zoldan murder were buried where scarcely anyone would see them. Thus, outside of two prominent Israel National News reports (here and here), which most leftist endoctrinated Israelis would never see or bother to surf to, the story never saw light of day.
And so Annapolis went on without a hitch. A joint statement was even issued, as well as individual statements by both Olmert and Abbas. Olmert proudly proclaimed to Shas and Yisrael Beiteinu that not a word was mentioned about Jerusalem while Abbas came out of Annapolis demanding control of East Jerusalem.
Aaron Klein, the head of WND’s Jerusalem desk, later reported that Olmert’s claim of not having addressed Jerusalem or Har HaBayit was false. But Shas and Yisrael Beiteinu remain glued to their coalition seats anyway.
Olmert continues to be proud of what took place at Annapolis and proclaims the rightness of Israel’s position on partition, indicating support return the vulnerability of Auschwitz partition borders while refusing to own up to last summer’s Lebanon conflict blunder of leaving the north vulnerable to missile barrages and stating “Israel will not fortify itself senseless.” Nor is there fire in the belly to defend anyone not from that slim partition corridor which hugs the sea.
The Islamics, emboldened by the weakness of an Israeli regime suffering from cancerous hate for religious Jews including Yisrael Beiteinu and Shas acting as the latest possible enablers of expulsions, were led by the terrorist Abbas who proclaimed rejection of the ‘Jewish state’ demand. And a senior Pa official stated, during an interview with Dr. Aaron Lerner of IMRA relating to the encarceration of the PA cops who killed Zoldan, “Killing Israelis is resistance to occupation – not peace process, Palestinians who kill Israelis should not be imprisoned.” And of course, the regime’s great friend Jordan King Abdullah II jumped onto the bandwagon by urging Israel to ‘withdraw from Arab land.’ To top all of this, the regime’s other great friend, the Vatican voiced through an official their support for
“Palestinian ‘refugees’ right to return(sic).”
The effect of all of the above is that the weakly, hate-filled Olmert regime monumentally blundered in concocting Annapolis and going to it.
This author recalls with deadly fear the “Geneva Conference” which was held over is Israel’s head in all of the years post-Six Day War.
Annapolis, willingly acceded to by the blind hate-filled Olmert regime in their collective efforts to stay out of the pokey, at the expense of the hated religious and at the expense of modern-day Israel’s raison d’etre, this author fears is our worst nightmare in process of actuation. MB
