‘Government Helped North, Discriminating Against South’
Full Text;
Two prominent figures in Israel’s economy are blaming the government for discriminating against southern Israel and giving it less compensation than northern Israel received, even though both were hard hit by war. Manufacturers’ Association president Shraga Brosh and Ofer Eini, head of the Histadrut general labor union, claim the government has failed to give residents of Sderot any real aid, in the face of unceasing rocket attacks by Gaza terrorists.
Brosh and Eini announced they were joining an initiative by Knesset members, to pass a law compensating residents of the Sderot area and local factories for damage caused by four years of Kassam rocket attacks.
