Olmert: Jewish Majority is Lifeline of Zionism
Full Text;
“If the Palestinian Authority does not cooperate, we will act alone to set defensible borders,” Interim Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said in front of the Knesset Plenum Thursday at the swearing in ceremony of Israel’s new government.
Olmert also said that pulling out of territories would ensure a Jewish majority in Israel, which is the lifeline of Zionism.
Olmert: Settler Blocs to be Part of Israel Forever
Excerpts;
Interim Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, setting out government policy guidelines as he presented his new government for Knesset approval on Thursday, said that major settlenent blocs in the West Bank will be part of the sovereign state of Israel forever.
Olmert said the disengagement from the Gaza Strip and northern West Bank was a prelude to the core plan, his convergence proposal, which would move tens of thousands of settlers from enclaves scattered throughout the West Bank, to settlement blocs located closer to the pre-1967 war Green Line border.
Calling the disengagement from Gaza a first, vital step toward that end, he said that the main talk still lay before Israel.
Keeping settlements spread out all over Judea and Samaria, Olmert said, “creates an intermingling of populations which is impossible to separate, and which endangers the state of Israel as a Jewish state.”
Olmert plans to begin implementing the convergence plan to define Israel’s permanent borders in the West Bank within two years, according to political sources.
Olmert: Scattered Settlements Endanger Us
Excerpt;
‘If Palestinian Authority does not cooperate with us, we’ll work alone to shape Israel’s defensible borders, prime minister says as he presents basic principles of his government before Knesset; ‘the scattered settlements in Judea and Samaria endanger us’
Commentary;
1/ When Olmert talks of demographic danger, he’s talking about a Dud which has been exposed for what it is by a group of American demographic experts who Olmert chooses to ignore. In his malfeasance and non-feasance, he continues to peddle the PA’s demographic numbers which are proven as overstated by 1/3 or more. For context regarding the countless past citings on this blog regarding the Demographics Dud, https://sefer-torah.com/blog/category/demographics-dud-compendium/ click here.
2/ Re: Olmert’s comment; “Keeping settlements spread out all over Judea and Samaria, Olmert said, “creates an intermingling of populations which is impossible to separate, and which endangers the state of Israel as a Jewish state.” The argument is totally bogus as populations are intermingled inside the so-called “Greenline” as well. Why is that somehow okay, whereas Jews living in Yehuda and Shomron are ‘illegal’? It is obvious that the distinction is being made between Israelis, i.e. the secular of the coastal major cities of Tel Aviv, Yaffo, Haifa, vs. the Religious who live in Yehuda and Shomron who are attached to and cleave the land of their heritage.
Further, if Heaven-forbid that Olmert’s ‘convergence plan’ comes to fruition, don’t expect one penny of US aid. The US made that perfectly plain last year after the Geirush in Gush Katif, and so it is that the Sharon/Olmert Regime has defrauded 9,000 Jews of their possessions and assets; the money just isn’t there to pay the compensation mandated by the Knesset’s Compensation law. If heaven-forbid, Olmert’s plan is actuated, expect 10 times that number of Jews to be “legally” robbed by the regime or that Yosef Q. Israeli will have a Tax Monkey-on-it’s-back for years to come, the likes of which is unfathomable.
3/ This author is not particularly interested in the perpetuation of post-zionism. The interest is the survival of the Jews and the divine and inseparable connection of a Jew and His Land — Eretz Yisrael.
4/ What about the security price. The maps on IRIS (Information Regarding Israel’s Security), particularly this map of the reach of Katyushas, illustrate the point clearly.
5/ Finally, “Olmert: Settler Blocs to be Part of Israel Forever.” What about the connection between Jerusalem and Ma’alei Adumim? What progress has be made in linking them together as promised?
In short, with a collective political and governing mentality encompassing expedient cheating and lying, what makes Olmert anymore trustworthy than Sharon or Barak or Bibi? “Olmert: Settler Blocs to be Part of Israel Forever.” Wasn’t Gush Katif once as valuable as, and equated with Tel Aviv? MB
