There are very good reasons why this blog lists links to the daily war news.
(1) Each of these links represents either an Arab attack or an Israeli retaliation or counter-attack to wipe out a terrorist cell, a Kassam launch site; direct consequences of Israel’s leaving Gush Katif and handing it to the “pa (sic).”
(2) To give the reader a taste of the quantity of and magnitude of Arab attacks; to strongly indicate to the reader that the calibration of Arab weaponry is getting ever closer to actualizing massive damage to vital Israel services; gas, oil, water, etc. and to inflicting injury and death upon large numbers of Israelis, Chas V’Chalila.
During the summer in the weeks prior to the expulsion, this author related how four reasons why the “disengagement”, the expulsion was fatally wrong were stated to a group of soldiers on a bus on the way to Kissufim (arrow down to A Night at Machsom Kissufim) ; The fourth reason being; “the impact on all Israelis — their mode of living, their security, the economy, taxes and resources when the Kassams which now fall in Neve Dekalim, Gadid, Ganei Tal, etc. and Sderot, now begin falling large urban centers like Ashkelon, Ashdod, Kiryat Gat, etc.”
There are occasions when there multiple accounts of the same action or event as one news media site may report an aspect not reported by another.
Having written thus, this author responded during a Shabbos discussion to this comment; “We shouldn’t be so intense in our opposition off the actions of the government. The professionals know soo much more than we and there is nothing that we can do.”
To that, this author responded, When the Israeli military acts decisively and pro-actively, it is right and successful. When the government equivocates and doesn’t let the IDF act aggressively against it’s enemy, the results are disasterous and the expert cease to be experts. Read and refresh memories of history; contrast the Six Day War with the October War, The Rescue at Entebbe and the Bombing of the Iraq Nuclear Facility with the Arab riots of 1996 and the repeated trashing of Kever Yosef and today’s “Hit Them Very, Very Hard” of repeatedly attacking empty fields.
Believe the professionals? Those with slanted, baised outlooks which turn out to be predicated upon brown-nosing superiors in order to get ahead while casting facts, on-the-ground realities and principles to the wind in favor of “how high can I climb in station, authority, self-enrichment and sphere of influence?” They have abdicated their distinction as experts.
