This author has used the expression before, but this year it is truly appropo; What a difference a year makes. Last year, on Shushan Purim, rather than partying with the Rav in Jerusalem on Shushan Purim, a group of us were in Neve Dekalim installing a Sefer Torah. It was a gala celebration against that looming expulsion, then 4 1/2 months off. We installed the Sefer Torah and davened to Hashem that the gezeira be lifted.

Mofaz Presents Israel’s Final Borders

Full Text;
Israel will begin setting its final borders over the next two years according to a plan based on including the major West Bank settlement blocs and the Jordan Valley, Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.
Spelling out his vision of the future borders, Mofaz said in an exclusive interview that Israel would retain control over the settlements of Ofarim and Beit Aryeh, currently on the Palestinian side of the security fence. He also indicated that the withdrawal from the West Bank would include civilians and the military. But, he said, Israel would retain a “free hand” to operate within the evacuated areas at its discretion.

The Government of Israel’s Blogospheric Incompetence …
Prove Israel Cares About World Jewry, by Michael Freund

Excerpts;
For a country that is supposed to be concerned with safeguarding Jewish interests around the globe, Israel sure has a funny way of showing it. To get a sense of how the government views this issue, I decided to take a look at the Web site of the Ministry for Diaspora Affairs, which seemed like the natural place to start.
As it turns out, the Diaspora Affairs Ministry does not even have its own Web site, which speaks volumes about the role this body plays in serving as a bridge to world Jewry. Instead, it gets a whopping total of one – count ’em, one! – Web page that is static and bereft of any useful data, and which is, moreover, buried away deep within the confines of the Prime Minister’s Office site.

Requesting Pesach Visitors to Pressure the Government of Israel and the Pocketbooks of Israeli Hotels to Insure that Gush Katif Refugees are NOT Abandoned this Pesach …
Received this email overnight from an activist. This author holds that this is a MUST READ and a MUST for Action.
Dear friends,
Today, while at the Jerusalem Conference at the (old Hyatt) Regency Hotel in Jerusalem, my friends and I had the opportunity to meet one of the Gush Katif mothers who lives there. She mentioned how worried all the Gush Katif families at the Regency and other hotels were, because they have all received EVICTION NOTICES. They have been told to vacate the premises (in different cases) between ten days and three weeks from now. Their caravans and caravillas are not yet ready. Nonetheless, they have been informed that they are being kicked out of their hotel rooms. They have nowhere to go.

Our World: Israel’s Uninformed Electorate, by Caroline Glick
Excerpts;
On the eve of the Knesset elections, Israel faces multiple challenges. Hamas, in appointing technocrats and terrorists to run its new government is showing that it is possible to learn from the Nazi model of governance. Even genocidal mass murderers who seduce their societies with delusions of racial and religious supremacy can receive international acclaim if they make the trains run on time.
Israel’s political spectrum is divided between the Left, represented by Kadima and the Right represented by Likud. Kadima wishes to contend with the Hamas threat by making a public show of shunning Hamas while surrendering Judea and Samaria to the terror organization.
