Full Text;
“It was released for publication today that two Arab fisherman, residents of Palestinian Authority-controlled Rafiach, on the Gaza-Egypt border, admitted to interrogators that they have been involved in smuggling weapons for PA-based terrorists. The two PA residents said they had used their fishing boats on several occasions to transport weapons and related supplies from Egypt to the PA-controlled Gaza Strip in the months preceding their capture.”
“The two admitted to having smuggled about 110 Kalachnikov rifles and more than 10,000 bullets in three trips between the Sinai and Gaza coasts. They were captured on a return trip from a planned fourth smuggling operation that fell through. The smugglers further admitted to involvement in planned terrorist attacks by the Islamic Jihad, Hamas and Fatah.”
“The two arms smugglers were captured on November 30, 2005 by IDF forces.”
